Default Gradual customisation of my 2011 City + Headlights transformation

    <br>
The truely unique (ongoing) transformation of my 2011 CITY!

When i came to Pakistan after a long time my father bought me my first car here, a 2011 Honda CITY. And so, the love affair began.
I loved the car because of its wicked looks and style but slowly got bored of seeing it so stock because of SO many CITYs around! I just had to make mine different so it stood out from the others. This is where it all began.

I will be posting up pics to show what i did from the start and what it looked like at each stage.

What it looked like when i first bought it, pretty much stock + LED parking's, which was the first 'mod':

Gradual customisation of my 2011 City + Headlights transformation - 2dnrl1

After about a year of running more or less standard, i added some DRLs (this was at the end of 2012, before most in PK even knew what DRLs were (A short while before this i had installed some 6000k HIDs myself in the standard halogen reflector housing):

Result (not the best of pics, but yeah)

Next up: Angel Eye Bi-Xenon Projectors. When i went to the UK for a short break, all the cars there with HIDs had Projectors (uk road regulation). Coming back to my car with no projectors just desi HID bulbs in a halo-reflector, i felt really unprofessional with them so i got some big 3" Projectors (larger than the Accord's i think) imported from UK which my cousin brought over - this was a long day:

Next up: White/Amber headlight DRL/Signal LED 'mod'. (Feb '14). These lights are the unique parts of my car as no one in Pakistan has them and it is difficult to set-up. They have the dual functionality of working as plain white DRLs for aesthetics, and an Amber element for the indicator/signal function!:

Shoes. I've so badly wanted some nice wheels ever since i bought the car so i could replace those UGLY 'plates'. When i finally found something decent (and also had enough saved up from my allowance to even buy them) i swept them up without a second thought! They weren't in the best condition but i saw past that; i only had one image in mind of what i wanted them to ultimately look like. Alhamdulillah, they now do :

As of now (date of thread creation), the car looks like this:

the DRL&#39;s that you imported, are they actual drl&#39;s? do they have their module to control the functions of the light. Or are they just led lights (called drl here) that are wired with the parking linghts because that wont make them drl&#39;s.

Alot of people knew about drl&#39;s way back. the only issue was that they dont come installed on cars here and the whole kit isnt available. I see alot of people saying they have drl&#39;s in their car&#39;s but it turns out to be just led&#39;s with DRL written on the boxes. China Zindabad.

Other than that, love those wheels and the headlight turn signal mod.

He&#39;s running bi-xenon projectors. They function for h4 applications. So both high/low beams are projected from the same housing.

They're bixenon which means they have a solenoid inside them that flips the cutoff shield downwards every time the high switch is flicked on.

As a standalone unit, no, they aren't DRLs. So they don't switch off automatically when the headlamp turns on - as a DRL should do. However I did buy an 'auto off controller relay' kit but I decided not to install it since they look so nice on at night time. Same situ. with the bottom LED bar in the lower grille. I'll be soon fitting fog lamps that will work as cornering lamps also because our country ma sha Allah is very dark in terms of lighting haha.

Yep, a lot of people did know about 'DRLs' but if you've taken note, in the past 2 yrs or so, especially in lhr and fsd, people have just gone crazy with them, more specifically with those ugly COB ones.

Thanks a lot, appreciate the love man (Y)

Oil, oil + air filter change! (About a week ago)

Shell's flagship oil (in Pk): Helix Ultra 5W-40 SN grade (and obv. fully synthetic).

    Up to date rates:
The Oil: 3660 (paid exactly what was written in the online pricelist)
    Honda air filter: 1680
    Honda oil filter: 820

Love the oil, car feels smoother than before and i can drive it cold instantly if needed without any indication from the engine that it actually still is cold. Before i would need to usually give the car at least 2 solid minutes before i could drive it without any hesitation from the engine! I suppose the fact that this oil is a 5W cold compared to the old 10W cold would obviously help too.

Bro the range with these projectors is very very far. I'm considering upgrading to a 55w kit to do the projectors justice!

Are the bulbs 55 watt ones also? Because 90% of kits (regardless of what the seller says) in pakistan are 55w ballasts ran on normal bulbs - the bulbs burn out quicker like that. 55w bulbs are hard to find because they're not used legally on road in (most of) the world. They're for off-road (racing, show car) use only so even OEM manufacturers don't make many of them (also, the ones they do make are obviously only D2S, D2R etc, so finding H1/H4 fitment bulbs is all the more harder!)

That was the reason I initially installed a 35w kit because real 55w bulbs cost over 12k pakistani themselves IIRC!
