Lightbulb Honda City 2006 IDSI - Grinding Gear Noise when car is in 1st and 2nd Gear

    Hello,

Need expert advise, i have Honda City 2006 MT. When i accelerate my vehicle in 1st and 2nd Gear, mild grinding noise is coming. But later when i shift vehicle to 3rd, 4th or 5th gear this noise is no more there ... When i press clutch in 1st or 2nd gear there is no noise, same in neutral or idle mode as well..

Is this issue related to 'Clutch/ Pressure/ Bearing' set? as they are in 6 / 10 condition i think. OR it is purely related to Gear Box...

If it is related to Gear Box, should i go for its repairing or to take decision for Gear Box replacement..

Kindly get your transmission oil checked.. If its a grinding noise then i think it might be the bearings have worn out also do share the mileage your car(s) have gone through . might be the clutch plate and pressure plate need a change.. rest experts will enlighten further..

you should never hear any noise in the gearbox itself, check the oil and also check the engine mountings for wear and tear, a wildly moving engine can touch the body and cause a noise which seems like grinding to normal people
