Default Where to balance new city from after tyre upgrade?

    Hey tyre gurus,

I'm going to replace stock tyres for my new City with yokohama 195/60s.

Afterwards, do I need to align or balance tyres and

Q 1) should I get this done from honda dealership/3s or outside market?

Q 2) Should I just get alignment done or balancing is needed too after tyre change?

I'm getting 12k for the euro stars, guess that's a good rate.?

Q 3) does it affect my warranty to go to 195/60 from the stock 175/65? There's only 1% difference in car diameter with the change.

Good idea to go to dealership for balancing / alifnment since they'll know I've changed to a non recommended size and they decide my warranty for later on.?

    Thanks

For balancing, go to Honda 3s.
I believe you only need balancing after tyres change.
Try to stick to recommended specs or maximum 185/65/R15. Will help you in better grip with fuel efficiency.

    change tyres
dont let them take off any weights fitted by the company on the rims
take the car for a spin sprint 100/120
u wont be needing balancing at all trust me (alignment has nothing to do with tyre change)

usually the tire wala from whom u purchase new tires they do alignment and balancing free of cost after replacing the tires!

    Hey Hash4u,

I bought from Sheikh Brothers pindi affiliate. Shouldn't these be legitimate?

    Paid 8500rs per tire.

How to check if its smuggled?

Also the 5114 on tire in above photo means week 51 of 2014, right?

Wheel balancing is part of installation from whom the tyres/rims were purchased.

Wheel alignment is not required, if there were no steer issues with old wheels/tyres.

Check the offset of new rims to be within specifications (for you vehicle) prior to purchase and donot relay on the seller/workshop/agent.

Here people are just mad about 3S dealers here on Pakwheels. 1200 for tyre balancing is stupid. You can get it done from anywhere for 300 Its is one of the lowest tech jobs. First Tyre balancing and nozzles is always free everywheer i have seen. I have even seen few doing free allignment if you can bargain taht into deal.
Its not only rims, its tyres too and you always need to get your tyres balanced whenever you change them. There is nothing such as FF rim weight positions.

Sara lahore 300 mein steel rims or 400 mein alloys balance ker daita hai....
Trust me your experiment is wrong. It could have been coincidence but it is not true most of the times. Even after you drive for like 10-15k even then their balance goes slighlty out. Even for same tyre just change its position on the rim like it mostly happens when you opt for heated puncture repair aka paka puncture you will again need rebalancing

Not a good practice. Once new tires are installed, balancing is compulsory.
