Default whats wrong with my honda city

    Scenario 1:

I am moving my car on ramp (not too high) with very slow speed so that car does not hit any where or any other reason, and suddenly i need to push accelerate to move car upward but car refuses to take accelerate so i have to press the clutch then accelerate it to move car upward on ramp. Means to much acceleration is required to move car upward and no quick response if i accelerate on upward slop.

    Scenario 2:

I move my cultus upward on ramp, i feel lack of power and i suddenly press the accelerator to gain power and car respond my command.

What is the reason. City is 1.3l (36k on odo) and Cultus is 1.0 (70k 0n odo).this lack of power is only on acceleration from 0- to onward specially on upward slop. Too much slow response of Honda City ivtec. all other things are perfect, good mileage and good power on speed.
On thing more i tried Honda City on motor way and after 170km/h i was feeling small jerks which were not allowing city to go further. This is not the problem of RPM limiter as i did 185km/h many times before.

What could be the reason of slow throttle response of Honda City in initial acceleration???

Does your cultus have an EFI engine or an old Carburetor engine.

EFI engines do not allow excess fuel to be injected into the engine cylinder. So when you push your cars's accelerator hard the car will accelerate while ensuring complete combustion of fuel. So the only way to climb a slope is to ensure that the engine is above 2500-3000 rpm when you are at the bottom of the slope and then accelerate smoothly.

When you press the accelerator pedal in a Carburetor engines engines, the fuel rushes in depending upon how much pedal you have pressed resulting in in-efficient fuel consumption but also slightly more acceleration
