please test drive the car on a bumpy road

judge if u can tolerate the suspension and its sound on bumpy roads

it would be extremely stupid if u cry over it after buying it

It's a very good option. Go for it. Regarding price, it should be around 11-13 lac

    yes
    aspire leather seats are worse
to save on leather they probably used concrete underneath

if u can live with the suspension and seat comfort. its a perfect car.very fuel efficient/quick/trouble free

How do you guys compare 2009-2010 model to later models? Has Honda improved any feature which should tend me to rather buy a new one??

I got one month ago, 09 model AT
works great so far. Suspension does not have the problem, it's only that it is not as smooth as corolla. Its a bit hard suspension.
seat comfort is just fine, you can easily live while ignoring these two aspects. Coz drive is so amazing and you will surely love it!

It would be really helpful if some one can update me regarding maintenance cost of Honda city. I have heard spare parts of Honda are expensive as compared to Toyota corolla..

Bought a city 2011 two months back for 12.10 lacs. Car was 43k driven and 2nd owner. Alhamdulillah we are happy with the decision.
We have a corolla gli 2009 model too. My personal experience will be:-

-City's suspension is stiff. So if you drive on a carpeted road, you will love it. There is a noticeable difference in the drive of city compared to corolla's. One will love city's drive over corolla's.
-The seats of city are somewhat bucket-type. I find them better than corolla's.
-On bumpy roads corolla definitely has a big edge. Corolla's ride is way comfortable.
-Corolla's consumption is better than city's. Corolla gives us 13 km/l and city gives us 11.5 km/l
-Air-conditioning of city is slightly better than of corolla. A minor difference though.

Be practical in your choice as you can also get a XLI 2009/2010 in this range too.
If the road you'll drive on daily is bumpy/with patches, buy a corolla.
If consumption is your top most concern, buy a corolla.
If you have a driver than corolla is the better option.
If you are seeking drive pleasure than you should get a city.

Personally I like city more but corolla is more practical.
Do drive the car on bumpy roads to check out the suspension before buying. City's suspension wears out within 5 years unless its well kept. Steering column noise/worn-out is more common in corolla's.

If you are getting less mileage from city then there must be something wrong with your car. City has the best mileage in sedans

maintenance of corolla is comparatively cheaper than city, not a big difference but slightly difference.
Honda parts are bit expensive, but definitely reliable too!
    both are great cars

Fuel average i am getting in Auto tranny is almost 11 within city and 14 long
Auto is having lesser average compare to manual one.
You can go for manual if auto is not your necessity and you want best averages around!
It will easily give you 14 within city

there is not much difference. city is a tough car and if you maintain it as per recommended intervals which are the same for all cars. you will be happy.
yeh logon ki fuzool c perception hai keh hondas generally are expensive to keep. actually toyota per loog jigaaar laga ker chalatay rehtay hain. i have kept civics from 2002 till now. i have not had any issues so far.

    I agree here with DrUsman

There is not much of a difference in maintenance of both cars.

Recent example would be that after buying the city I got the throttle body serviced for 2500 rupees and radiator serviced for 2000 rupees from Honda Drive INN. [ got the radiator serviced as it was a little choked which was affecting the air-conditioning - problem was solved and rightly diagnosed by the showroom experts ]

11 km/l is impressive !!! and that too from an automatic. Your average is making me think about cars average.
Are you quoting the reading of your car's odo-meter/multi-meter ? Or you calculated it ?
    Because my car tells me it is giving 12.6 km/l ( fluctuates b/w 12.4 - 12.8 ) but actually when I calculated it was giving 11.5 ...
