    Default Honda City IDSI 2007

I have Honda city 2007 and as it cross 100,000 km it start reducing engine oil. I used ZIC A. When it is driven abt 500 km oil is reduced and continues to reduce as I drive. Suggest me what to do about this or should I change the oil? I have listen about synthetic oil but I have no idea about that. Please help.

Well its not the oil.. because thats the last thing we would see...

if its reducing the oil.. check if there is any leakage or something... if all is good... then try synthetic engine oil as its heavier and thicker and mainly used for cars above 120k kms!

check ur engine for leakage, park it somewhere clean over night and check the floor for oil spots in the morning. or maybe the engine is burning very little amount of oil you might not be able to tell if it the engine is burning oil just by looking at the exhaust,Check the exhaust for an unusual smell of burning when the engine is running Other than that there is no explanation about the engine losing oil because it is a sealed system.and synthetic oil is nothing special.all the automotive oils you buy are synthetic oil(man made oils)and mineral oil is the one that is natural.like coconut oil and olive oil.hope it helps

    Not all oils suit idsi
I bought ziq xq....the most expensive oil n it started to reduce.
Switched to caltex fully synthetic problm solved.
For shorter drain interval try caltex havoline formula10w 30
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....
