Default Antenna on top of city 15

I bought a car cover. It's a little heavy due rubber coating and bends the antenna on cars roof. Can someone please tell me the function of that antenna and can it be damaged if I cover my car daily.
    Regards.

Screw the antenna out before covering the car. It doesn't affect anything except your FM radio if you use that.

Worst case: it will start looking like a bent candle if you keep covering it without removing. And you will have to buy a new one if you bend it too much.

I bought it from Mardan. There were various qualities. The best one was of 2500. I got that. Outer coated with rubber and inner with polyester.

Why would you do that? If your cars standing in the rain with the cover on top, water will seep into the car cover. Car covers cannot absorb this water and since the water wont have any way to evaporate, it will start etching at the clear coat. Keep doing this for a few months and you will end up with mater marks and clear coat failure. Thats why, you always let the car air dry for a few minutes even after you dry the car before covering it up. Water left on the paintwork will do you more damage than a small bent plastic antenna.

Almost all of these cars have the screw-able rubber antenna. You can simply unscrew it when covering the car up. Dont go around ripping holes in the car covers.
