Thread: City 2005 Brake Problem

    Default City 2005 Brake Problem

    i have City 2005... at 20km/hr i pulled hand brake as hard as i can... nothing happened.. car slowed a bit but not what i expected... then it started to slip when i applied brakes hard.. this was because rear brakes were not working properly.... this is what i tried..
    1. changed rear brake pads.
    nissin, asuki, mk
    2. changed front brake pads.
    3. changed front tyres.
    3. changed master cylinder.
    4. cahnged brake boster.
    5. changed brake T(disribution T).

    i have tried every thing on the book.... my biggest problem is skidding when applying brakes... plz help... JazakAllah

    have you just bought this car?
    because actually the brakes of this model are quiet lame
    you have actually tried all the "tricks" in trying to fix

    and yes that is because the rear ones do not grip as they should and front ones lock when applied

    since i have the same car and when my car starts doing this alot, i just go get rear brakes re adjusted. rear pads when loose, do not grip at all
    Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

    hash4u is right. I own the same model too, this shape has the pathetic brakes ever.
