    Cool DIY Honda City 08 Tuning

    Today opened up the throttle body of my City 08 and cleaned the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) and throttle plate with carb cleaner and also cleaned spark plugs.

    So you cleaned IAC valve and didn't lube it?

    well saboor, its no need to lube it. Carb cleaner has already played its part by spraying on it, I also moved it by hand.

    first i opened the air cleaner box, then i opened the four 10mm bolts for carburetor and diconnected allied cable fittings and sensor cables, then took out the carburetor.

    cleaned all stuff. opened the plugs with 14 mm Plug socket and extension rods. cleaned the plugs with motorized buffer.

    It need to be lube otherwise it will wear out

    He own mehran but have experience of Honda IAC valve thingy though IAC valve oa very cheap item 1k max

    The IACV looks the same as the one on toyota 1nz and 2nz. And like mentioned above, its vital to lubricate the bearing in the idle control valve after cleaning it with the carb cleaner. The carb cleaner is supposed to remove any gums or oily residue, hence it also clears the grease inside the bearing. It may seem fine at the moment when you move it by hand, but it will start sticking once it dries up a little and would eventually get jammed, unless you lubricate it.
