Cool DIY Honda City 08 Tuning

Today opened up the throttle body of my City 08 and cleaned the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) and throttle plate with carb cleaner and also cleaned spark plugs.

I have just changed for my Honda City 2009 (I-VTEC - 1.5) after 130,000 kms.
Fuel filter just cost Rs. 2000/- and Rs. 400/- labor. But its good to change after 80k kms depending on the fuel quality.
However its quite a difficult job to change as tank is under front seats and they have to take out the whole Console to access to the filter.

    Great man!
Where did you buy the fuel filter from?
Is it honda genuine oem or any other brand???
And did you get fuel injectors cleaned as well???

Its Malaysian made Honda GM. and works fine..... But Honestly this is the first time I have changed but when I opened the old one that was also in good condition, which seems to last for 50k kms. But its good change after at least 100k KMS.
I got it from Lahore regular auto traders.
Fuel injector is not required to clean or change unless there is some issue with car like missing or idling issue. As these are quite complicated and untrained mechanics will ruin the engine. So don't do it unless there is an issue.

    Hello mbbs!
Bro, I was going to get wheels balanced.
and also interested to interchange the tyres as well. So only the tyres are changed or whole tyre and rim are interchanged? And what if rear tyres are not in good condition, in that case shouldn't I just interchange rears with eachother and fronts with eachother?

You should change rear tyres with front. Don't change left tire with right ones. Ya get your rear tyre replaced with new. How much kms have they done?

    Hi Guys,

My Honda City 2009 IVTEC. is having some issue with AC fan speed. sometimes its speed slows down and it keeps same sound but air flow reduces if increase the speed from 2 to 3 still air flow is same but noise increases. Than I try to switch off the car and after 5 mins restart it than it works properly but after sometime again faces same problem.

    Can anyone advise on this.

Do I need to change the Fan motor? If yes than let me know what is the estimated cost? Is it DIY job?

    Regards,
    Ashar

check the cabin filter if it is clogged. Clogging of filter can cause the air flow reduced even if blower is working flawlessly. i have my self dismantled the blower and reassembled it.
