Default Honda City 2006 Manual vs Honda City 2006 Auto

    Wheelers,

I initially planned to buy a City 2005 or 2006 Manual but after visiting the market and seeing the trend, it seems City 2006 Auto is in the trends plus since it only uses Petrol, the engine quality is better compared to a Manual one.

I'd like to ask you guys if Manual or Auto would be better. I am a beginner and also I don't want to visit the mechanic very frequently.

I'll be using Petrol only so a petrol average is very important.

I'll be maintaining my car from the Honda service center no matter how expensive it costs me.

Bro, my advice is you should go for manual as manual has very good fuel average.
parts of this model are cheap infact you can buy a good condition engine around 18000 to 20000.

city manual is easy to maintain and u can also find a petrol driven manual city ... only a properly maintain engine will give you good fuel average so history of engine maintenance is also very important. mostly cng driven city will not give good fuel average.

the old city vario (automatic) could have some minor problems with its cvt which will extend over time quickly and fixing cvt is a big issue and also very costly. most of time fixing cvt is changing the whole cvt gearbox.
there is not big difference in fuel average of manual and automatic city.
rest is ur own preference as driving vario is more comfortable than manual city specially within city where u have to shift and press clutch many times.
and i will not recommend going to honda service center as it is way more expensive and their skills are pathetic.
