    Default Honda City running in?

I have booked my new city and wondering that for first 5000Km we need to do the" running" ? . Before that i bought cultus but didnt do anything however i felt that in first 5000 Km the engine was stiff and acceleration was hard.

Every car coming out from factor the engine is test on dyno upto maximum performance which means the engine already had that load which one can expect.
They pick 1 engine from 1 batch
The test parts includes prehot coolant and engine oil
Not every engine is tested on assembly line

I'm 100% sure you don't need to break in Toyotas engine. I have used 100s zero meter cars in past 4 years and literally didn't hear anything from them and yes they didn't require any near service too. Most new cars require service after 30 35k kms.

All engines are being tested before they are installed in Cars, after watching all this discussion just went to Honda Abu dhabi Dealership where they are selling new civic these days, asked the question about this running they say there will not be any issues as the engines are crafted so well these days that there is no chance of any debris falling because of temperature changes and high revs of pistons,So guy i don't know the quality of Pakistani engines but still this is outdated, let me add this I work in a multinational EPC In Abu dhabi Oil n Gas and we installed power houses too and big pumps, nobody asks us to do the '"Running'' we put 100% load on first day of commissioning and then do rigorous testing tripping it all the ways possible ,putting harsh loads, overspeeding the Power engine, gas turbine there is nothing like this

I did 180km/h on our vezel which was around 8k at that time. Nothing happened but before 10k it's not a good idea. Just keep the acceleration steady before 5k kms. Follow routine maintenance and that's all

No offence but duh this is Pak, when i bought new suzuki last year, the moment i left the showroom there was some odd squeeze sound in the cabin, and from that day it just sort of increased day by day, this is how pathetic they are built!!
