    Default City prosmatic 1.3

    Guys,
I currently have a swift 2012 and im looking towards a city 1.3 prosmatic AT new. Im a bit skeptical about drive and overall experience in city vs swift. I love swifts drive, acceleration, road grip! Is city a goos choice? I drive around 25k kms a year all over city and im bit apprehensive about making the car choice, need recommendations from pak wheelers!

I cannot tell you any details nor can I comprare the two cars as I have a City 2009 but have never driven Swift. But you should consider these few questions.
    1. What is the reason you are changing your car (or will you keep both City and Swift)?
    2. What type of are will you usually be driving in?
Answer the first question in extreme detail. Not to me, but to yourself. Cheers
EDIT: If your reason for getting City is because Swift isn't big enough for your needs, then it would be a worthy upgrade but not a huge upgrade in terms of specs. Whatever the case, you need to think hard about this.

if you are looking to upgrade to a sedan to use in city all year long i woudl say stick to hatchback which you already have.

if you really want to upgrade then go for 1.5 prosmatec city. 1.3 auto is a no-no and 1.5 auto city is a win-win situation MINUS inside city usage as hatchbacks are easier to use inside city.....atleast in islamabad

Then I suggest you stick with Swift as you won't notice much difference in drive of Swift and City. Instead you should try to get Aspire 1.5. That would be a worthy upgrade.

So whats the main edge of aspire 1.5 auto over swift? Suspension wise 1.5 is better than 1.3 auto? I was thinking of reborn 2011 also but my wife is more inclined on a new model car hence came the city in my consideration.

No offence to any city owner but travelling in city feels like you are on a 'phatta' with no suspension.
Unless you are in Isb/Lhr and your majority travelling is between these two cities via M2, you can consider it otherwise avoid city.

Just drive/travel in it before making a final decision.

Drive City then it'll be easier for you to decide.
Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?

It would be best if you drive a city and try it out for yourself.

Having personally driven the 1.3 AT, here's what you could expect: upon flooring the gas pedal to gain acceleration via a down shift/kick down, sit back relax, heck type out a pending email and by the time you are done doing this - you still wouldn't have lost out on much! There are times when you need the boost, for an overtake for example - just won't happen on the 1.3!

The 1.5 tends to behave a little better than its little brother - but then again don't expect miracles with it either.

Moving from a swift to a AT city would definitely leave you, cursing the decision.

The manual on the other hand is a different story all together on the other hand.

If boot and fuel economy is not your requirment, than my two cents are stick with swift. Althought i do drive city but i feel swift has more drive pleasure than city as being little sporty. And from ablittle sporty to an auto, a big no unless you consider 1.6 auto altis toyota.

If you have limited budget, get City 1.3 manual, it will give you better mileage than Swift, way more spacious than swift specially at the back. City suspension are not that bad, it is due to the low profile general tires, get the tire changed to good brand, yoko or Michelin and you should notice improvement in drive.

If you are inclined towards auto, 1.3 auto will be a bit laggy, i don't have experience of 1.5 but it will be better. If you go with Prosmatic transmission don't expect above 10-10.5 km/l with ac within city. I have kept manual City 2012 and still have City auto 2014. Mileage difference is huge between auto and manual, approx 3-4 km/liter!

Guys i need a AT car my wife cannot drive manual thats why i was interested in city Prosmatec. I love the drive of swift and its pick it just roars on road. When im upgrading i am looking towards an overall upgrade including drive, comfort, spacious, acceleration. I have driven my swift on hobc and i prefer to do the same with other car i buy. So whats your final recommendation? city 1.5 AT? The only reason for switching from swift is i want to upgrade and an auto car. I just love it any day!

If you really want automatic transmission then go ahead. But you won't get the acceleration that you want in 1.3. Apart from that I think 1.3 is just fine. Just make sure to get really good tires soon.

Their is no comparison of Suzuki swift and Honda City. Feom Road Grip to interior and exterior looks every way city is a better car. I used both and I found city far more better.

I own 2016 automatic swift and i have driven city 2010 automatic. City is better in most features. Go for it unless you want a compact car.
