Default Clutch problems in brand new Honda city

I have just purchased a Honda city MT, i have observed the problem of car jerking on first and reverse gear when clutch is just starting to release. The problem is observed when in traffic and need to drive in first gear with low clutch release between 0-5-10 speed. Otherwise no jerk observed on higher speed.

I noticed this problem while leaving the showroom and told the person there but he ignored it by saying the this is due to your driving style. I tried the car for 1000 km but still observed the problem with same intensity. I then visited the Honda workshop and demonstrated the problem now they are saying that it looks like clutch problem that is not covered in warranty.

Please any expert here observed a problem like this in a new car, I surfed the internet for the problem and find out that it can be "Caused by Misalignment Between the Engine and Gearbox". How can this be checked and which are the better Mechanic available in pindi /islamabad

Send a complain email to Honda Atlas executives. Give the dealership a piece of your mind and threaten them with legal action.

The car is only 1000 KM driven, Honda clutch problems will cost you a good deal, even after you've just paid for a brand new car.

warranty claim. just go and stand over them . you paid a premium for a new car .

    ---

on another note, even local hondas are now slipping on qc standards, i know people buying brand new civics and found rattling dashboards and loose visors .

Honda Atlas's warranty is a lie. Ive been a victim myself. Tried contacting different people at different levels. All they want to do is sell cars and least bothered to provide after sales warranty claims.

I will try my luck on Saturday at Honda, but so far @Muzammil73 on my last visit they just wasted my time and just GOOLIES. And surly i will make that case

But i also wanted to know if anyone experienced such a thing before, because i have read lot of indian forum/threads where owners of ivtec there experienced lot of such clutch problems, which directs to some manufacturer fualts

I tried Honda classic i10 but they all are busy selling cars and spare parts, getting service charges on visits, no one single experienced guy who is interested in identifying the problem. Other than them anyone who test drive it, identifies the problem.

Nope. That is a genuine problem and the owner need to claim the warranty. I don't know why they are stalling him.

Be careful your Warranty will be void if any non-Honda mechanic touches it and tries to give his own medicine. Honda Classic are greedy souls, go to Peshawar rd Honda center.

@addytov1 Problem remains in the car after 2000 kms, I have applied for a warranty claim lets see what will be their reply.
Still the Honda guys are so busy (in tuning services) they didn't even try to diagnose the problem, even it could be a small problem.

I visited two Honda Dealerships in Isb and found Honda Classic are the worst, their guys are such good actors that they astonish to your problem such well even you wonder why are you here, and they have layers of such people if one person cannot convince you, there comes another.

Companies sales are rocketed, they have monopoly in car sector. And yet when you visit them after sales they treat you as if you are no one . The other day i was checking Chevrolet gives you free maintenance for upto one year in India. On the other hand KIA (UK) gives five year warranty to their customers.

if u have someone else in the family or friend circle, let them drive without telling them the issue.. and see if its there with them or not..

if the issue is there, then u ll get it fixed for free.. and if honda or their dealers try to play with u, go and lodge a case with consumer court..
people who use Highbeams.. once day would suffer too bigtime. People who drive slow on fast lanes, remember one day a vehicle carryin ur son, dad might get late to hospital coz people like u. underaged driving will land u in bigtime trouble one day or the other.. And the Blue indication light on ur speedometer denotes "High Beams"

Complaint them via email to their head office.

Plus ask those service centre people to tell you where is this written that clutch problems are not covered in warranty?.

    Problem Solved:
Honda avenue opened the clutch and pressure plates of the car and replaced them with in warranty. The clutch plate was faulty as it was irregular i.e. its thickness varies in different sections that was causing and creating more problems

Thanks to Honda Avenue technical guys who at least accepts the problem and looked into it.
