Default Honda City AT or MT

    AA everyone,

I tried to look for a related post but didn't find any so apologies if this topic is already present.

I'm planning to buy Honda City A/T 1.3 but a city A/T owner confused me the other day. According to him, the consumption is too bad for A/T as City M/T does around 15 KM/L in city i guess.

Can anyone please clarify it with authentic consumption of both cars? Thanks in advance

and please also recommend MT or AT??/

+currently I am using Honda Civic 1.6 Prosmetic 2002 model

    regards,
    Hassan

If you want economy then 1.3 MT. If you want comfort than 1.3 AT (but it is sluggish in drive).
If you want more power (1.3 MT is quite responsive except a certain range of rpm) then 1.5 MT. While 1.5 AT is quite economical and not sluggish either.
Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?

I have owned both and trust me there is no massive difference in consumption. 1-1.5 Km/L as per my experience. It's all about driving habits and driving style. Go for an auto. Much better to use and drive and Auto City sells at a much higher price while manuals are massively available in low rates due to vide number of options available in the market. The difference in Auto & Manual is not considerable enough.

If you really want a difference you are asking an absolutely wrong question. The question then should be: City or Prius. Not suggesting you to consider a Prius stay fixed to City if you have decided. That was just an example notion.

1.3 AT is a little under powered and sluggish. i suggest you to go for either 1.3 MT or 1.5 AT.

Get an auto eyes closed. Manual has very short gear ratios. Irritates on long journeys. Plus auto is not as people perceive, drives very nice. On longer routes gives better efficiency than manual due to bigger gear ratios. And not at all sluggish.
