Default Noises when brakes are applied

    Aoa members,
I have just bought a Honda City aspire 1.5. Everything is fine in it except the brakes. Like whenever you apply brakes at high speeds you hear a weird sound from it. Should i go to the showroom from where i bought it ?

Your break pads are worn out, Just replace them. If there is wobbling while applying brake then need to polish front break disks.

ABS generates a grr grr sound when it is engaged. If the ABS light comes on when you hear the sound then you are good, no need to worry about anything

No the abs light should not come on when abs is activated
It only comes when car is started for few seconds for checking
If it's comes on during hard braking there is a fault in your system

    1. Your brake discs are warped/deformed. Just get them machined from Honda Center.
    2. Your brake pads may also be worn out so get them checked as well.

What kind of weird sound? There can be a lot of different sounds meaning different things.

Maybe your pads just need bedding in.

If that's the case then take it to the dealership and tell them to sort it out under warranty.

Little grr grr sound on hard braking at high speed is due to ABS activation. Don't worry at all

Change the car tyres. The sound is due to ABS and its normal. It will get better once you go for softer tyres.
