    Default Honda City Battery Issue

    Hey Pakwheelers,
I have 2014 City with 65 W Headlights. I drive alot to my hometown from Islamabad. Due to bad lights of city, I changed 65W halogen lamps with 90 W Halogen (japanese). The electrician added a new relay and gave a direct feed to relays from Battery.

After 4 days of changing lamps, my 3 year old battery died suddenly on one morning and refuse to start the car. I have replaced it with New one of Same AGS battery. The problem is that during drive; when i accelerate the car, headlights starts to DIM and if i leave the throttle; it come back to strong light. what can be the issue, is it that 90W lamps are too much for city battery and wiring; or anything else.

    Cheerz,
    AB

Done alterations to a up model car which r done in 20 year old cars with weak wiring, bad lamp reflectors, n swirled screens.
Take off all wiring additional stuff n connections.just let the 90w bulbs stay
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

    Dear,
Alternator kicks in @ 2500 engine rpm. Once Alternator kicks in; lights illuminate at full capacity again. Problem is when driving slow at high gears (below 2500 rpm).

    Hash4u,
Honda gives one relay in City for both 65W lamps whereas Toyota gives 2 relays for strong lights. The purpose of adding a relay and separate wiring is due to poor circuit design of Honda for optimizing current requirements. I guess Honda City in Pakistan is still 20 years back model if you compare it with Int'l market.
Is there any city expert in Isb/Rawalpindi which can sort it out. Do i need to change battery size or anything like that to give more current. I am saying it because at RPM above 2500, headlights again comes to strong beam, to me it means that current supply is less at low rpm. wats ur opinion on it??...

    Regards,

    Well bro i would confess
I had to add relays as well
But my city is 140 000 drivn n 10 years old
Reason for adding is dipper switch almost burnt (for better load distribution )
Now the thing is my car iddling is not so well on cng. I dnt c headlights getting dim or anything
U need to get it checked from another electrician i guess.
