By a big margin corolla. I have kept city for a quite a bit and i own a corolla atm. I am a fan of city but the suspension isnt good at all. The hard suspension does offer the advantage of slightly better handling but still i would prefer comfort over handling in a small family sedan. The few advantages of city i have found over corolla are; better handling, decent pick, better fuel economy. In other aspects Corolla is better. It is a much more comfortable car.

P.S There are may threads and posts already on this topic so do look into them for more information regarding the matter.

Yes you can to some extent. As long as you are on the driver seat and on smooth roads, you won't feel the suspension that much. The rear passengers are the ones who feel it most.

    Bn discussed several times
The only solution which actually works is seat covers with 1" padding
