Default Honda city 2015 low milage

Dear All, my ride, Honda city M/T 2015 is giving very low milage. It's giving me around 11 in city on AC. I went to Honda center for checkup, they said u need to replace it's air filter nd it would solve the problem. I asked them to replace air filter but still of no use.

Please guide what could be the reason for milage issue. Please also confirm if pakwheels gives any diagnostic service for cars.

    Regards,
    Fahad Naveed

It all depends on driving style, if you're flooring the car, don't expect it show magical numbers. Avoid using heavy foot, go easy on rpm and use quality fuel.
When I looked up "Ninjas" in Thesaurus.com, it said "Ninja's can't be found" Well played Ninjas, well played.

11km/l on ac is quite reasonable considering city traffic, however on highways it seems a bit low.

Low mileage could be related to ignition system, including spark plugs, wires, etc. get the wires tested for resistence, if one of the wires have any burn marks or cracks this would happen, Get the fan belts, alternator belts checked if anything is over-tightened or lose, does the engine compartment make any additional noises? Do you use recommended engine oil viscosity..

Mostly such issues are buried deep and need thorough inspections via highly skilled troubleshooting staff.. But, sadly most of the dealerships and other automotive repair shops concentrate of quantity and not the quality of the work.. If your car starts on first self and they hear the engine running with no check lights thats good enough for them.. anything above that is way too big a burden of customer service and satisfaction..

I tried to drive it with a soft foot, intentionally just to get highest mileage after resetting its trip meter on 7th avenue, Islamabad. Max I got was 11. Right now its odometer reads 19K. I bought it at 9K and at that time its mileage was 15KM/L in city.

Thats the problem then. Reset ur trip meter after every refill and it would autmatialy reset your Avg for that specific fuel tank.

I agree that we really lack such expertise here... I heard pakwheels had started to offer some diagnostic services of 70 point check list. Please guide me if there is any such service...

Fill up from a company operated or reputable pump, then see if there is a difference.
