All Hondas are inherently uncomfortable. My 2002 VTi is very uncomfortable as well. And so was my 1989 Civic---this car was UNACCEPTABLY uncomfortable---suspension was on par with the Suzuki Swift of that time.

While driving one of my friends 2006 City, I thought the City was slightly more comfortable than the 2002 Civic. Strange but it at least feels that way.

Sorry bro but you have to live with the hard and rough suspension. Thats what you get for a higher ground clearance car. Pakistani models have a modified suspension to take care of the road conditions and the uncomfortable thing is just a side effect of the suspension tuning.

i have a city with 14" 185 Bridgestone Potenza GIII tyres. ride is awsome, and love the comfort too. Never heard of FEDERAL tyres, i have a feeling they could be the culprit.

    @ salmankhilji,

Sounds like you've owned a couple of lemons, I've owned the following Hondas' and can vouch for their comfort:

95 Civic -- Very comfortable, very smooth
    99 Civic -- Same as 95 Civic
2002 Civic - Suspension was faulty, after replacement it became much more comfortable but not as much as the 99 one
2004 Civic - Comfortable from the getgo, bit bumpy at the rear
2005 Civic - Same as above
2006 Honda City - Very comfortable, I'm running the car on 15" Yokohamas with Rims. Great ride.

Lukemani...what is a soft tire? given equal size, tires may produce more or less noise....they dont affect ride comfort to that noticeable an extent....

brand new springs take some time to settle...in some cases..as much as a couple of months...after which the rate is at its best compatibility with the shocks....

dont worry too much if this sounds technical....

try to get used to it...personally i dont think there is an issue here at all.

i own city 2006 as well. it will surely feel hard and uncomfortable in the begining.....but after like 2000-2500 Km it really becomes comfortable, never heard about federal tyres, see if u can manage putting on YOKOHAMA ASPEC very soft tyre...or DUNLOP Lemans.....btw i have DUNLOP 185/65/R14...suspension is really comfortable now.

I too have city 2006 with Yokohama Aspec 185/65R14 and have no problem of suspension. I keep 25 psi in all four tyres. besides check pressure of tyres on digital guage for accuracy. You never know the pressure in your tyres may be actually lot more. The guages with there tyre "walas" are always faulty.

i also ride city 06 with michelin energy 195/65/15 the drive is very smooth on proper carpeted roads, but on bumpy roads it is not as good as corolla or civic does.

though never heard of federal tyres but i hope ur ride will be fine after driving 3000 kms on the clock.
