    Vitz: loosing its market now

    Baleno: only if you could find 2004-05 factory fitted CNG with under 30K milage

    City: prefer low milage. but overall value for money. its comfortable with all necessary accessories. runs well on cng too. i would suggest city

    @aly,

    I also say that City would definitely be a better choice. I concur with the reasons posted by @Alcapone and also feel City has a much better resale than the other two, if that at all counts with you (it certainly does with me).

    Baleno was never considered as a success in the market. I also feel that it is not as well made a car as City.

    Vitz euphoria is dying down. Many dealers/showroom owners are not in a position to even recover their initial investment on them ... they are selling at a loss. Prices are coming down. Wait and see where the prices stabilize.

    I dont think the Vitz is that bad after all, aside from parts being expensive but they are now available as compared to before. City parts are also quite expensive.

    The drive and comfortability of a Vitz is excellent and can easily be compared to our local cars, even Civic. In addition, there are many safety options which local cars dont even have plus fully loaded and I must say reliable cars.

    I'm sure many will agree with this.

    if u r not worried about resale than go for city....
    vitz... never go for it... its just a good alternate for alto.. and if u r going to lease it then don't worry about parts. ur insurance will pay for them
    people who use Highbeams.. once day would suffer too bigtime. People who drive slow on fast lanes, remember one day a vehicle carryin ur son, dad might get late to hospital coz people like u. underaged driving will land u in bigtime trouble one day or the other.. And the Blue indication light on ur speedometer denotes "High Beams"

    @aly,

    You're comparison is between 2002-3 City and Vitz 1999(?)-2003(?). I am selecting the 2003 Vitz for comparison:

    It all depends on the condition of the used car you're buying, but generally speaking if everything is according to the market average then:

    (1) Better fuel average?
    Vitz better, because it's a 1000cc car where as City is a 1300cc class car.

    (2) Better comfort?
    Definitely City. It's more spacious.

    (3) Better speed n pick on CNG?
    About the same frankly. City might have a slight edge because of being a 1300cc class car.

    (4) More durability?
    Vitz might have an edge.

    (5) And lesser hazel of visiting machenics?
    City much better off maintenance hassle wise.

    There is also not much difference in price either. If I were you I would go for City. But then I am me and you are you. So it all boils down to what your preferrences are.

    i agree wid u boss.. but the prob is tht my range is 500k max with CNG. n in this amount the city im getting is abt 100k kms driven. so if i go for vitz i can get 99-2000 model max around 470 in order to spend 30k on cng etc. n 99 vitz, being 7 years old wud be sum wat arnd 80k or more driven.. wat say?

    @aly bhai,

    The 99-00' Vitz you're planning to buy might have run or might not have run more than the (say) City of 2002-3.

    The 100K km is a figure that you are assuming. It applies for both cars. Even more likely on the Vitz than on the City. As the city would be 3 to 4 years old whereas the Vitz would be 6 to 7 years.

    Mind you, you can have your mileage set back to any figure you want for an additional Rs.1500 on your Vitz. So don't base too much on the mileage of the Vitz.

    Even so, City is a very good car. It is a full fledged sedan 1300cc class car whereas the Vitz is a 1000cc hatch back.
    If you can't afford a 2002-3 City get a 2001 City.

    Aly, why do u want to convert your Vitz to CNG? It is already giving good mileage on fuel as many have mentioned.

    City is surely a better car in the end.. but still I may go for Vitz coz of being small... u kno how khi's traffic is.. the smaller the better

    As far as the milage is concern.. Vitz doesnt give more thn 10-12 in karachi's traffic. that is about 5-6 Rs. per km. I`d compromise a bit on performance n prefer economy any day
