ok i heard city takes up less fuel than corolla Xli, both being 1.3L.
Can somebody plz tell me why?
Also prove so by giving fuel consumption figures.

Can someone just for once state, What is the Fuel Consumption of a 1.3L Liana & a 1.6L Liana; so that we can have a fair analysis of the Consumption/Power of the cars in question.

if iDSI gives you 1 or 2km/ltr more; And Liana's M13A pushes more ponnies and Offers you more for a less money, then regardless of how much iDSI is advanced or a Marvell, its useless!

This is just the same situation as You keep a bird in a steel cage or keep it in a cage coated with gold!
In both cases the bird isn't free! albeit the Gold one costs you more, it offers you nothing but eye-candy!

L12A2 might be the Gold Cage and M13A might be the steel one; that is Until the real Facts and on-field un-biased values are presented.

    one real life example

a cousin had gli with every thing stock and he got figures of 13km/l
now he has 14inch 185 tyres with couple of miles on the odo and he is recording figures of 11 km/l max

compared to city when it was stock, 15km/l was recorded and now with 14inch 195 tyres, we r getting 13.5km/l

note : driving style for both cars is pretty much same

    ps
ppl who get 17s with city can easily get 14s from xli aswell.

A city is designed to be very low fuel car. It has ingenious engine management coupled with CVT transmission (not all models).
