    Moiz Bahi very wise decision & Allaaa choice , you are true after steermatic it was very difficult to upgrade & one reason I think is the feeling which steermatic has , steermatic has killer power/weight ratio & some time you even dont enjoy R18(pros) no offence

    & I heard that this swift has got one of best power/weight ratio available currently in local market so its a great choice & many congratzzzzz
    enjoy yourself

    Hope everyone is good. For the last many months, I've been thinking to get another car to give the Steermatic some rest/break. My options were either to get another car either after selling the L15A or continue keeping the steermatic and look for a small car. <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    If I were to sell the L15A, the only choice in the locally produced market was the 1.6 Altis. Did a little analysis and said to my self that for a little more power and 100 extra cc, there's no point in fixing so much money. Besides, steermatic can out-run the 1ZR-FE auto Altis anytime anyday .<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    So it was decided that the steermatic will stay. Next checked out the Corolla Xli but that was a little beyond what I had in the pocket. Didn't wanted to get a bank loan to over-burden my self. One day, a got the opportunity to drive a friend's swift and really liked it. Compact size, powerful engine and lots of goodies for the price. Finally went down to the local dealer and got one (in steermatic's color of course ). Attaching some pics. Since the car is not registered (going for a choice no.) at the moment, it's just standing at home. Waiting... Please do say Mashallah!<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>

    Thanks Amir bahi! You are right. When compared to the R18, the steermatic feels agile, lively and very light on its feet. Given the choice between the two, my vote would always be for the L15A. And the car has excellent fuel consumption. With a/c turned off, I managed 15.61km/L in the last 10 days, Amazing isn't it? 334 km driven and fuel consumed was 24.10L.

    I can only tell about the swift's performance, once the vehicle has breaked-in. Maybe in a month or so. My brother is already looking forward to a drag-race of the swift with the R18.

    It is a nice car. Pick is quite amazing when you floor it. I have had no problems so far it has done 6k. Went to Islamabad and reached there in half tank and the average was abt 15 kms per litre with average speed of 120+ kph.

    Sound system is good and fog lights are very bright and well focused. The best part is that the rear seats fold right up to the back of front seats so you can put lot of stuff in there compared to a sedan.

    Amir Bhai, you are a guru of car detailing and finishing. What product(s) would you suggest I use for the Swift? I have Mothers SynWax in mind. It's easy to apply and doesn't leave any white residue.

    Default Steermatic Upgraded...

    Hi All, I came to know about this yesterday via the above mentioned Advertisement. Called Honda Fort for confirmation. They said I could come over. I decided to go there in the lunch break because I had to get the Engine Oil changed for my Steermatic as well and I also didn't want to let go the free replacement . Mine Master Window Switch was Ok and only one of buttons misfired occasionally. So here's the deal; you can get free replacement of the switch and they will retain the old switch for shipping it back to their Labs . Also you will get discount on Synthetic engine oil if you purchase OEM Air and Oil Filter with it. When my car was lifted on the bay for dirty engine oil removal I noticed that front Axle had some leakage. Upon getting it checked it was found that Axle Seal (Small) was broken. Upon further examination Centre Bushes of both Arms (Chimtay) were also cracked. I decided to replace them all. Here the overall Damage.

    <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p>
    Oil Filter = 1120<o:p></o:p>
    Air Filter = 1380<o:p></o:p>
    OEM Honda Synthetic Engine Oil = 1760 (This is Discounted Prices. Actual price is 2450)<o:p></o:p>
    Axle Seal = 550<o:p></o:p>
    Front Arm Bush (Set) = 1400 (700 each)<o:p></o:p>
    Labor = 2100 (700 for Axle Seal and 1400 for Bush replacement)<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    Total = Rs. 8310

    Here's what I got pasted on the windscreen after I was done.

    The local Honda dealer here asked for the Chassis # and matched it with the list that Atlas Honda has given to them. My steermatic was in the list and hence quailifes for the upgrade. They will give me the appointment in a day or two.

    Thanks for the valuable input sir. Is it necessary to go to step 4 after performing step 3 or I can just leave the car at Spet 3?
