You are absolutely correct Fahad! Best mileage is derived in driving in the normal D mode.

as stated by @RollOnBigMaMa D will give better mileage as the RPM stays at lower possible levels.
You can check it very easily, while driving in D push the RPM to 2500 and maintain it there then see what top speed you achieve. Do the similar procedure while in 7 speed. The one which gives you higher top speed will prove to be more economocal on motorway.

Yes it can. You would require the ECU though and if you dont opt for 7 speed mode, you can skip the steering wheel replacement.

But my dear friend. Its not just about the L15A. Its about many things a steermatic brings that a vario just cant. At times, i try to make a wild guess about how many people who had opted for the Steermatic back in old days, just for the Optitron Cluster.

I just need the engine and transmission as well as steering to make it steermatic. NO i will be keeping all other things as they were.

The easiest for you probably will be to search for a JDM honda fit aria 1.5L nose cut. You can safely swap all the features in your car without the slightest hitch...

I don't know what this 'D', 'S' and 'L' stands for but driving on 'L' or 'S' is like drivind ur car in first or second gear respectively while driving on 'D' is like ur car shifts from first to top most gear as per RPM (though CVT has practically no gear shifting). Hope this info. helps u in understanding what u need.
