    One more question,
What are the pros and cons of using irridium plugs on steermatic. And what milage do these plugs give u.
I asked Honda, they said irridium plugs gives you 100k milage. While normal plugs give 20k milage.

I have 2006 steermatic, well maintained and 85k milage done.
I am not satisfied with the pick of car, as a 1500cc car shud have.
I recently had Throttle body service + tappet adjustment from Honda Classic Islamabad.
This solved my one issue of accelerator pedal stucking while driving.
But the car's pick issue is still there. Specially with AC on, my car really dies. And also, the fuel consumption becomes double.
I once took a chance to go to Monal with car fully loaded.
It was a shame for me, when on one sharp turn the car stood still, even i pressed the pedal to its last stage.

Also, please tell me, what is normal drive RPM. I usually drive around 2000 to 2500.
It goes to 80kph at RPM around 2000. But to reach 100kph, i have to go to 3000 RPM.

    Any suggestions/help appreciated.

Have you changed its fuel filter?

Iridium plugs IZFR6K11 lasts longer then copper ZFR6K11. I am still using copper ones, got iridium ones but haven't installed them as yet. Iridium will last for a 100k. When I did the 80k service, I installed copper ones, then did the service at 100k, they were still good. So haven't changed them as yet.
Bottom line, Iridium ones will last longer. Probably with a better acceleration but do clean the sensors.

    No. I didn't.
I have changed transmission oil, in addition to above mantainence.
Is it necessary to change fuel filter?

Also, one of the mechanic told me to clean catalytic convertor. What do u suggest, should I go for it?
Without AC i might be ok with the pick. But with AC on, i really get fed-up.

Dirty petrol will block the fuel filter and car starts to die. It will improve your milage and performance. Don't fill your tank from just any fuel station, some have reavoir tanks that they don't clean in decades.
For catalytic converter, use cetric acid with hot water, keep it in that solution for 4-5 hours. (Xulfiqar tip)

I have found a forum on Pakwheels, the guy is said to have all geniune parts. So i'll probably be ordering iridium plugs from him.

Do share your experince of iridium plugs, when you get them installed in ur ride.

    I'll share mine once i do. 😊

I usually go to either shell or clatex pums. Shell fuel makes me feel power but low milage. And caltrx fuel gives low power but high milage(if driven without AC).

Once on a long route, a fuel from caltex pump gave me milage of 600km for a full tank(before reserve light turns on). I drive around 80kph.

Shell fuel gives me average 350-400(before reserve light turns on).

Thanks for advice for catalytic converter. I'll get this cleans Insha Allah.

When I had size 185-60 R15, on a trip to Multan, i had an average of 17.5 motorway. Now that i got 195-60 R15, the average has come down to 14 on motorway. I got the 195 because of good braking. Average doesn't matter, as long as the people in the cabin are safe. And 195 delivers

Anyways, thanks a lot for help. After this discussion at least now i have few things in my mind to get checked for.

Ask zulfiqar bhai. He will guide you. But I wouldn't suggest junkyard gearboxe replacement. They r japs. IMO gearbox doesn't end up in junkyards.
