I don't know if you all have this problem or not but after washing my car, water keeps dripping from the side view mirrors, the part attached to the door , and leaves a long stain. Have to keep wiping the area, sometimes water keeps dripping till the next day!!
Noticed this in many other Citys and 1.8 Civics.

I noticed that you all don't have the stains, do you just not wash that area or does water not keep dripping?

    Salam

    @archon mashaALLAh (Y)

@doc sometimes that happens to my steermatic too. it leaves a very hard to remove stain there. but that does not happen all the times. it happened to me only twice so far. wonder what causes it? But that stain must be due to some kind of shampoo used by car wash people as it is not there after every wash.

when I wash the car myself there is no stain or water dripping.

    @ Retrograde and Archon,

Its looks great. Have you royal shielded on original paint ? I mean will it make a difference if bonnet was repainted and rest of the car is original paint ?

    @ Doc,

Spots are only left when carwash people use poor soap or shampoo. I specifically ask car wash people to clean door handles, side view mirror petrol lid etc.

I believe if you wash you car with continuous water and use along a cloth, it cleans nicely. Only use surf or shampoo if it have stains.

@vazim royal shield can be done on repainted parts, no issues.

@Retrograde using car wash shampoo is good as it removes dirt particles smoothly without any scratch. i think it helps prolong royal shield life aswell

Not yet usman..plan got delayed ...i have noted down the filter number, will try to get it from a reputable shop..besides the cheap air filters go bad every 5000km..planning to get something better which lasts atleast 10 or 15k..the air filter in my city lasted for 15K KM which is pretty good

@Retro. It is nearly four years and the shine on my black ride is MashaAllah is still there. Comes out clean and shining even with a damp cloth wipe after rain and tested in Faisalabad dust and dirt also. You know once black colour car is dirty there is no way but to wash it and polish it and royalshield saved me from this all those years.

ya bro there are 4 steps to RS:

    1. Car Wash

    2. Cutting cream (Removes scratches)

    3. RS Pre-treatment

    4. RS Oil sealant

I have noticed that many minor scratches are gone

I am also requesting bros like autophile for their guidance regarding furture car wash, should it be plain wash or can you recommend a good "imported" car shampoo
