    @RL589

    U wrote very TRUE. Actually CITY STEERMATIC has much LESS WEIGHT means very very light from the old CiViC.

    This helps CITY STEERMATIC to beat even 1.6L AUTO car.

    I wonder that what will happen if there is 1 KM DRAG b/w ALTIS AUTO & STEERMATIC using S mode???

    I m preety much sure that ALTIS will beg for mercy.

    dostan: go ahead dude u will not regret it...though dont buy the car thinking that u are gonna sell it immediately coz it does not have good resale but that does not mean that the car is not worth it.

    honda should have kept the price at 980k in the first place and this car whould have been a success....

    i have a steermatic and i enjoy each and every drive!!!

    Thanks brother for the insight. I think I'll get on with selling the civic. Hopefully it should get sold before March 31st when the offer expires.

    guys, can you please comment on the braking of a steermatic under emergency conditions?. Honda should have atleast installed 4 wheel disc brakes and a decent deck for this car.

    looks like im going to be a potential steermatic buyer Inshallah, if not something better .

    akbar:

    bro God forbid if there is a need to apply emergency brakes on any car but in normal circumstances the brakes of steermatic are pretty good, it has 15" low profiles tires that provide some good grip.

    i will assure u that u gonna love the car....great pickup, good milage (11 to 12km/l) in local driving......steermatic function and CVT is totally stepless (makes u feel that prosmatic is stoneage!!!)

    @Retrograde

    I have driven a 02 civic vti prosmatic, i feel the tranmission to be laggy, and much slower than its M/T counterpart. I hope the CVT transmission is much better as far as the 'laggy' part is concerned hehe. I have 2/3 months to go before i get a car, so lets see i hope by then honda decides to add something to it .

    Btw, are you a current or potential steermatic customer? lol

    my previous iDSI gave me 150 on average for a 55 kg cylinder within Islamabad. I am sure steermatic will also give a good milage coz even in petrol it is very much close to an iDSI manual

    Salam

    went to Lahore on this weekend. Got 1000 service form Honda City sales. Changed the stock stereo to Kenwood MP336AX mp3 wma player with aux, installed two speakers in the rear. Got the car Royal Sheilded and came back yesterday. I will post some pics as I wash it after this rain is over.

    On my way to Lahore on motorway I was on 120 and was overtaking an imported Corolla, who I think was on 115 maybe. As I came parallel to him he started accelerating his car. I also joined and pushed the pedal halfway. in 3-4 seconds he was no where

    My bro lives in Lahore in new army housing scheme on Air port road, opposite to Rangers Headquarters and owns a Civic ivtec (1.8) Oriel manual transmission. One day both of us in our own cars with our families went for outing. On our way back as we crossed Rahat bakers signal my bro overtook me in a racing mood. I also floored the pedal and stuck to his car's tail. Now we reached the roundabout signal just before the double airport road and it was red so we stopped here waiting for it to turn green. The road ahead of us was completely clear. I shifted to S and on green light we both took off and I just floored the pedal, surprisingly I over took him and as we reached the end of this road there was atleast three cars gap between us and my speed was @ 155. Honestly speaking there is no match between these two cars but as we both are normal drivers not very rash or race types so I guess the S mode worked for me. As my bro's car is manual so I think it requires good skill and technique to efficiently shift between the gears. Anyhow thats my weekends story.

    I am really enjoying my Steermatic

    By the way it gave me 15 km/liter on motorway, which as per experts, will increase to arround 18 km/liter after 5000km tunning/oil change.

    Royal sheild is looking really pretty. Mine's stone silver, will post pics as I wash it after the weather gets cleared. Bros in small runs like 1 or 1.5 kms, no car can compete with it. However on longer runs civic and Altis may prove nasty.
