    @jaggi

    Dude there is no need in steermatic to change the timing belt bec it don't have .......
    It has timing Chain inside the engine which is lubricated all the time in engine oil hence never need to replace it .

    Default Consumption of fuel

    Hi, Anyone has got any idea of fuel consumption. My steermatic is doing less than 10 with A/C in the city (lahore).

    If it is too high (obviously) than what is the solution?

    There can be so many reasons. Dirty throttle body or air cleaner, bad plugs. When did you have it tuned? What is the mileage?

    For example if your car is designed to run on 87RON and you feed her with higher Octane it means you are giving engine an extra task to burn it.
    I am feeling no difference in pick what so ever after switching to normal 87octane fuel I am still touching 0-100 in 10.5 second and there is no knocking at all, but one thing I always make sure that fuel quality wont fall below 87RON.
    Thought to share with you guys below are the links

    What, exactly, is octane and what IS the difference between 87, 89 and 92? - Yahoo! Answers

    Aamir bhai , i tried this 4 times on full tank but initial pick decreased and engine knocking was observed too , so just pour 1000 rupees of hi-octane mixed with super unleaded to fill up the tank and car is performaing back to normal , i guess fuel quality is not good here in karachi, as i have tried well known pumps of PSO/SHELL/CALTEX.
    Help others so that u can be Helped

    ya its a pity that in our dishonest society normal fuel is less than 87 octane anyway nice to read that she is performing back to normal.

    yes it is not allowed, so as santro

    even if you degrease your engine you need water to wash it out at the end, I also used to degrease the engine but only @ home so it will kept unplug for at least 24 hour so all the moisture will dry out from the places where it should not be ,like sensors and other electric equipment.

    Thank You accord7362; really looking forward to discussing matters with you . Well I bought it for 9.90 lacs and it is driven 42k; On top I have spent 25K on the parts and 40k maintainance from Honda Fort. I am the 2nd owner of the car. Everybody advised me to stay away from steermatic as it is not a market car and has a very slow resale. Even after my purchase people continously tell me that i have made a very expensive purchase; but the truth of the matter is I love the car and thats all that matters
