    I will have to say belta.
    It's not who you are to the world, it's who you are to me. It's not how many times I say I love you... it's how much I really do.

    the safety feature highlighted by Junaid is something to think over. else, i would say one needs to look at different markets separately. here in Pakistan, the City is locally assembled and has pathetic parts; the titanium finish comes off within no time and this is just one small non-technical example. i have owned Japanese cars throughout and always noticed the marked difference between them and those we get here. PLUS, the City is NO comparision for Belta. don't just fall for looks; there's much more to it.

    Dot3, Belta is slowly catching up on the roads. i manage to see at least one everyday. this shows its growing popularity. i agree that it is a bit costly but every penny is worth it, trust me. for more info on Toyota Belta, do follow these:

    i'll stick to city... the prime factor for my choice is the economy... also, the belta is available with 1.0 L engine commonly, while the city has a 1.3 L engine
    My height has stopped increasing, my width compensates for it.

    saad, firstly, Belta also has 1.3; lovable is one such happy owner. second, if in case your "economy" refers to consumption for which no doubt the City is popular, be assured that lovable's Belta is currently giving 16km/l in a city like Gujranwala. toyota japan has given the following figures:

    1.0l : 19km/l
    1.3l 2WD: 19km/l
    1.3l 4WD: 16km/l

    @vajih.. i said that the belta is 'commonly' available in 1.0... 1.3s are very rare

    City is better in long run in terms of spare parts also....

    and i am in favor of Toyota because my father has always owned one, at least since my birth!

    s90, you're absolutely correct in regards of the spare parts but that is sadly something i give last priority to because my motto goes like how much we drive and enjoy the car compared to the requirement of the spares. still, you are very right but i have this gut of a feeling we'll soon get those easily available soon because pathans at the Sultan place, or otherwise nationwide are actually very clever and immediately get stuff they see getting popular like the Vitz.

    @junaid
    in ur post u said that the COROLLA offers much better features than a BELTA. wud u please like to reconsider this statement or i shall make a list for u. correct me if i m wrong, but i even saw a guy here with a belta on pakwheels which had 7 SRS airbags. u got to be kiddin me while comparing local crap corolla with a japanese belta, doesnt matter HOW old or how much mileage done. it roams on japanese road, not on paki mountain-like roads.

    my apologies! have asked the admins to remove that through the "Report Post" button. the only implication was that even though they are uneducated, they are really clever and have anything one would ever need.

    well thats true. but thats how the market goes. see the development being done there in NWFP. its close to none. so they have to find a way to feed their children, and as u said, there is no doubt in stating that they sure know how to run their business, doesnt matter how small it is.
