Bro first of all, congratulations on ur new purchase.good to see someone buying (and letting us know in the fan club) a city almost every single day.i wont guess the price though i can.
Anyways, comming to ur questions about the service and keeping auto tranny in good health.i ve written about this alot in my previous posts in this thread.u can find my and other members' comments and recommendations in the past pages but still, im gonna write it again in short form for u.
This is the complete maintainence shedule i follow for my car and recommend to others too.
Engine oil change 3000kms(honda oil) 5000kms(havoline formula 10w30)
1500-1800rs
transmission oil change 30,000kms for auto , 40,000kms for manual.
near 2000rs for auto( use honda oil ONLY) same 2000rs for manual but good quality zic oil can be used for cost cutting, 800rs.
spark plugs 20,000kms (use honda OEM plugs)
dont remember the price now but around 2000rs.(8 plugs for idsi)
air filter 10,000kms(if original honda filter) 5-7000kms (good quality guard filter)
OEM filter 890rs guard filter 350rs
tappet adjustment/valve clearence every 20,000kms on cng and petrol (can be extended to 25 or 30k kms too, in some cases)
500-1000rs from local mechanic (this is very technical work, honda guys screwed my car while doing this so i get it done from my desi mechanic as hes tooo gud at hondas)
throttle body wash at 20,000kms, can be extended too (by detaching it from engine and further seperating the idle speed sensor from it)
500rs (my mechanic charges 1500rs for throttle body service and tappet adjustment)
brake pads change front @ 30,000kms (mine give up at around 35,000kms, depends of driving style.i wont recommend playing with brakes unless u feel a problem or lack of braking power)
thats pretty much everything.
the best tyre size for idsi is 185/65/r14. it would be better if u upgrade the rims but its okay if u dont.185/70/r13 is the best size for u then. yokohama is a nice brand and S drive or A drive model tyres are very quite and grippy.
thats all.please let me know if i missed something.
