Default Metallic Grinding Noise in Honda City Vario

    Hello,

Another quick question about my vario.. almost ever since ive had it I hear a metallic grinding noise when I turn my steering to the right.. sometimes it starts while the steering is turned halfway to the right and sometimes you can hear it right at the very end of the steering travel..

It only happens when I turn it right and the noise comes from right near the front right wheel.. I have taken it to the Honda dealership many times but they cannot figure it out.. they have tried oiling it but the noise goes away for a while but always comes back

the car is barely 8 months old!!

Thanks in advance for your help

    F

coudl be a worn steering pump or somethign similar (if you have large rims on it)

put it up on a lift and have someone turn the steering, the problem will show itself

Might be an issue with your CV joint. Maybe the boot is ripped? If they need to keep regreasing... ask them where the old grease goes.

Thanks for all your replies guys.. I have gotten to know the guys at H Defence pretty well because my other car also goes there regularly.. anyways.. they are now calling a Honda warranty guy in to look at the car.. so hopefully that engineer will be able to identify the problem..

    Thanks again!
