Default Why we don't have 1.3 i-DSI Honda City

In the rest of the world, there is 1.3 Liter Honda city are available which is far more economical than 1.5 variant. Read the report: Honda Philipines

The City 1.3 i-DSI registered an amazing 29.42 kilometers per liter run during the Honda City/Jazz fuel economy run from San Pedro, Laguna portion of the South Super Highway up to the Petron Station at the Batangas exit of the Southern Tagalog Access Road (STAR) highway two weeks ago.
Considered a breakthrough in engine technology by Honda, the 1.3-liter i-DSI (Intelligent Dual and Sequential Ignition) engine uses a two-spark plug and two-valves per cylinder layout with individually controlled ignition timing.
Such engine performance is translated to a more rapid and complete combustion that results to improved fuel efficiency.
Small but terrible, 1.3 i-DSI power plant flexes a moderate 82 ps @5,700 rpm and since the City has a lightweight body, acceleration was not at all compromised.............

I guess Honda should introduce 1.3 i-DSI Variant here in Pakistan coz, keeping in view of increasing fuel prices, it would be a great selling car .. 29 km/liter ,, its amazing isn't it ... the URL for the report is:

Hi why city is giving less milage in Pakistan because of quantity and quality of the fuel our petrol pumps sell. The liter is not full liter and the Octane value they claim is 87, but it must be around 60, while new cars need Octane rating of at least 91, so this answer your question

Wow what crazy perceptions people have about this simple car, one car, so many engine variations and that also when even the main post was misleading......

To make the things clear n to remove misconceptions ,i add that Honda city here in Pakistan is available in the 1.3litre iDSI engine ,both the models available have exactly the same specifications and features apart frm the transmision which is manual in one case and CVT (Continuosly variable transmission ) in the other.
Well fuel average varies a lot with the driving conditions, individual driving habits, factory faults ,oil quality n a hell lot of other things but i dont think ny car run on petrol can do as much as 29 kms in a litre ,the report under discussion might b referring to the hybrid cars introduced by Honda recently which have a battery n generator sort of stuff working in supplementation to gasoline n resulting in incredible averages.I own a Honda city 2005 as well here in Pakistan and it hardly ever went above 15km/litre and that too in the most appropriate conditions. In the normal city driving with air conditioner on at all times it gives hardly above 12km/litre..its just 4600 km driven by now.i got 15 km/litre on motorway with ac on enroute to islamabad.I expect a better average next time as the car wud then b in running after having completed its first 5000 km n also in the winters ac wud not be used so i expect 16-17 kms on long route.
