    der are few general tips for saving fuel like:
    dont drive above 2.5-3.0 rpm..
    drive at a constant speed..
    dont press the pedal compeletely ..try to press it as less as possible..
    drive at higher gear even at low speeds...
    switch off the engine when in traffic...it takes more fuel to keep da engine idle den to switch it off and den start again...
    check ur tyre pressure regularly...keep ur car fully tunned...

    i can think of only des suggestions only rit now..experts will give better advices...

    Regular maintenance:

    1. Clean the air filter
    2. Change oil regularly, (4000 kms if possible)

    dont press the pedal compeletely ..try to press it as less as possible..
    Actually its a bad idea to throttle it but its a good idea to keep it midway. The car needs more power on the lower end of the RPM range to keep moving ("pick" is actually one of the heaviest consumers of fuel). If you barely touch it, I can guarantee it will consume more fuel.

    I've noticed that most Honda's give optimum fuel effciency within 3000-3500 RPM.

    I have a break thru....in fuel mileage for City Vario, my own formulae and it has given me 20 Kms per litre....but you need to run your car like a CNG customer....now here's how...when you fill your tank the next time the guage will show above "F". Now when you run your car just when the fuel guage goes a little below "F" get the tank filled again. This time you will only have to put 4 or 5 litres, and the cost will be 350/- rupees...the mileage you would have done would be 85 to 90kms. So try it out and let me know...if i am right or not....keep filling this way after every 85-90 kms and you will never have to pay extra and your mileage will be great...

    Even though your theory seems impracticable, i'll still give it a shot. As they say desperate times call for desperate measures.

    @ZAHEER77
    I'll definitely give your break-through a try- Though it doesnt make logical sense because one would always be travelling on a full tank of Petrol where each gallon weighs approximately 7 pounds..... which means a heavier ride, which in turn means less fuel economy. I also feel a fuller tank would be more inclined to splash petrol out of the tank? Just trying to figure out the dynamics of your idea. Maybe a fuller tank leads to less fuel evaporation? Will try any how and update the thread. Thanks for sharing.

    1.avoid rapid accelaration & braking i.e for pick ,press the race pedal slowly and for stopping just anticipate the traffic and avoid braking as much as possible.

    2. Instead of switching off the engine on signals, just bring the transmission to neutral

    3. check tyre pressure

    4. Try to drive without a/c. possible to do it in evening & night but also not open ur door windows completely.

    5. Change air filter frequently

    6. when u r stuck in traffic then drive in S mode.

    7. keep a constant speed ,preferably 60km depending on traffic conditions.

    8. Wheel allignment

    9. other things like oil change, oil filter, engine tuning are obvious.

    10. avoid hard cornering while driving especially on U turns.

    11. Finally...pray for reduction in petrol prices.

    @mominhaq89

    I have read this also. Right turns for UPS are for deliveries in the USA; where they drive Right Hand. We drive here on Left side so we should plan our trip where we take more left turns. May be then u could save some fuel.

    Put it on rent, youll earn 30k a month

    @all regarding Zaheers comment
    I dont think its true, but do try it/

    @all

    -Spark plugs
    -Air filter
    -Engine oil level

    If the car is on for more than 6 seconds, just standing there switch it off. The amount used to start the car equates to standing still for 6 seconds

    Dont slam the pedal
    Dont slam the brakes

    Dont carry unnecessary weight

    Keep tire pressure @ 30

    Dont idle the engine to warm it up in winter, this is pointless in modern vehicles. Let the engine warm up by driving (under 3k rpm is best)

    @momin
    Its right hand drive because the houses are on the right so it takes less time. Has nothing to do with fuel efficiency!

    Although, actually:

    on a LHD car,

    Right turns use more fuel,

    on a RHD car

    Left turns use more fuel,

    Which is because there is more pressure/force to move the car in that direction as the steering column is on the other side
    What good is a Genius without the Human aspect?
