Dear friends, i have recently bought Honda City 1997 model. I have some questions about it to clear.
1- What should be it consumption on CNG (It is doing Rs. 1.7 per km in local and Rs.1 per km on long)?
2- In morning its starting is smooth on CNG, should I carry? Should I start it on Petrol?
3- What should be its petrol consumption?
4- Speed breaker touches the car from bottom, what should i do?
all things are good ur car was doing excellent on CNG...just maintain it....if close car on petrol and start in morning on petrol.....it increases just ur engine life...and car touches on speed breakers so get ur car rear coils 2" up...it can solve ur problem...
Its not good but great performance.
Mine is 99 city which i just bought 2 weeks ago. Its giving me Rs2 in city and 1.5 long range. I havent tuned it yet though. How much did it cost u?
Mine costed me 500,000.
@durrani...bro air filter was fine just try to switch on to Shell or Caltex CNG oil..its better than TOTAL...i personally try SHELL and PSO...SHELL one was nominal for all cars...but bit expensive and Caltex was also expensive.....so just maintain...and tell me what about the other maintaince of car...shocks air filter oil filter and other spares...are they expensive....and easy to find....and about driving expeience comfort and performance....
I have Honda City 98 that was converted to CNG in Feb this year. I have always used the SHell Helix Blue oil for my car. But for the last two changes I have used the engine oil provided by Honda. Both Shell/Honda last 5000 KM. But Honda option is cheaper.
As far as the filters r concerned, try to get the air and oil filter from Honda ppl. The genuine honda air filter costs around 900 Rs., The cheap alternative costs around 250. I would recommend the genuine expensive one. It pays for itself. I get around 1.5 Rs./Km with A/C in-city for the first 5000 km with the genuine filter and now it has increased to 1.7/KM. I have used the cheap one also but that increases the cost per km to almost 2/km with A/C within city plus the performance will decrease as well.
I'll change the air filter in a weeks time approx after 8000 Km, though u can use it for 10000 Km. Another tip: Clean ur air filter after every 2-3 weeks(Something I have not done for the last 2 months )
And for the next oil chnage I am thinking about trying Castrol Magnetic. It costs 1500+ but they say it lasts for 8000 Km easily.
yeah company Genuine Filter was better than all.....cleaning air filter is required once in a week and plugs can be checked alternatively 1 or 2 months
i said not shell blue one its Red One with SHELL HELIX CNG 20W-50......i find it better....
