    Default HONDA CITY USERS -- URGENT HELP REQUIRED !!!!

    hey bros, i have got my Zero MEtre HONDA city IDSI manual , two weaks ago , MAsha Allah its beuatifull and luxury ! no doubt , but i am encountering a serious problem while high speed drive at HI way /.

    the problem is , When i go to Hi Way , KHI-HYD , and the speed is above 100 km/hr , the CIty starts getting shaky , although it remains stable from inside , but she tends to move her path while moving forward , that is , it gets very difficult to keep the car in a straight line , and if i leave the steering for a second , car gets towards extrme left or right .! i have to apply constant corrections to steering , even then i feel , and it practically does happen that , City , doesnt moves forward at high speed , in a stright line and it continously , gives me the feeling of ZigZAg , and if i leave the steering it will never go straight ..!

    so WHat is it .? i feel this effect specially when driving against Wind , but even with the wind i get this effect with lesser intensity !

    NOw my Alto doesnt do that , and if i maintain a strong grip on her steering , Alto goes straight .! As 100/110 km/hr is very normal speed as comare to big cars , like HOnda City..!

    so , What it could be/.??? Remember i m using stock tyres..!! and i thynk it might b narrow stock tyres or allignment issue or suspension or steering.? hOW can i get it solved.? and is this normal with stock tyres ? like its a trade mark City problem.? or its just a new thing.? off course i want to get rid of this , atleast city is suppose to go smooth on motorway , with 120 km/hr..!!

    so advices plz.? shld i go to HOnda dealer and claim some warranty? or changing tryes would solve the issue for good.? and if yes then what tyres are suitable.? and i HOpe CNG has no effect on this issue..!!

    plz do send m ur advices and experience regrading this..!

    i love this CAr and don wana get dissapointed wid dis issue , as its a very basic requirement from a 1300 cc car that she must go stable at 120 km/hr atleast..!

    i have just got CNG installed two days Ago..!!

    go to the dealership get the alignment checked. Check the tyre pressure keep it in the range of 26-29psi. If this doesn't solve the problem then go for something like a tyre change.

    i dont think there is any vibration issue with city coz i also owned an IDSI manual for 3 years had the Dunlop 13" Lemans tyres and no problem faced even at 180.

    I think you should get the alignment and balancing checked and replaced the pathetic general tyres

    Hi retro, good to see you here...

    Now i guess you may realise that even Honda's have problems straight out of the showroom!

    There are 3-4 people here accepting this issue in their rides..so, is it poor quality control, inbuilt fault, or general tyres fault (which Honda has approved and put in their stock cars)?

    If this were a Liana thread, you would be pouring your heart out right now!

    @Lotus and Wahaj:

    awwww no mater what you say it will not change the fact that Liana sucks big time around the world and City is better off even with the tyre issue.

    I have more on in stock for both of you, go on to you Liana forums and praise each other to death coz u are the only 2 posting there anway....

    Common guys lets try to act a bit mature and stop dragging comparisons in every thread. The objective of this thread is to help the concerned person and not for bringing up personal vendettas.

    @diablo

    sorry to hear that you have CNG'd the car even before completing it running, sadness . Any ways getting back to your problem, i too had to face the same ordeal almost 3.5 years back when i got my city. The car had very poor road grip and used to give me a very uncomfortable feeling. At the time i switched to 195/60/15 Yokohama ES100 tyres and the road grip was superb (besides the stock tyres are usually not balanced/improperly done). Any ways due to personal reasons i replaced the 15" to 14" with exi steel rims and bridgestone potenza GIII tyres 185/65/14. The road grip is still good and no vibrating/swerving issues. Conclusion being: get rid of those crappy stock tyres, LOL !

    edit: most importantly dont let any one mess with your alignment unless it still pulls after installation of new tyres.
