    Default Steering position - Honda City 2000

    Dear friends, I recently bought a 2000 city. Good car; But I find the steering position a bit odd. The steering wheel is quite low and almost touches my knees (I am just 5'-11"). Just wanted to know if its the same with all such models or just specific to my car (maybe the seats have been changed!!). Would appreciate it if anyone can help me out!!!

    dear bro. there cod b two reason. one ur steering is set at low tilt position. u will find a *** under your steering wheel which is adjuster of your steering to up down position. second thing is ur driving seat might be adjusted at elevated level. so keep it down by a *** at right side of your seat. u can adjust according to your height.

    @faisal

    I think u dont own a city.. Bro there isn't any *** under the steering of this model.I know because i own one.

    @Fawadshah

    It's at fixed position.I'm 5'11" too but my knees or should i say thighs and steering have approax 3-4 inch gap.I think there is some problem with ur seat.
    BTW would love to see the pics of ur ride and may b v could meet up someday somewhere to share knowledge..

    ya dudes this is perhaps one of the biggest problems in this otherwise masterpiece by honda..truly amazing model..i'v had the privelege of owning this car twice..once in 2002 as a zero meter kar(kept it fer a kool trouble-free 102000km/4yrs on petrol) and currently a late 2002 one which literally came from the heavens as my dad got it as a retirement benefit in march08..used sparingly at 83000km on petrol when i got it(put cng in it at once n im not regrettin it one bit..tahnx to gud fitiing n tuning the diff in pick is less than 10%)..i must konfess apart from the crammed interior i rate it above the baleno of that time(98-2002..my opinion i know baleno has a very strong following)..which in turn had a much better and comfortable interior than this model..
    cheers!

    @imtishal
    lol man i luv the city 02 as i mentioned..its jus that i face the same crampedness 2 when im at the driver's seat myself..m 6-1 and fairly healthy myself so im a lil irritated abt that as well..plus in baleno you had the advantage of havin the same sorta seats n options in all variants (apart from the power mirror n window stuff ud had to pay extra 4) while in city the seats in exi(ones iv kept) and exi-s(upper end fully loaded) were diff..the latter were a bit softer n cushioned than the former whose seats give n extreme butt ache after a long trip..rest the city 98-2002 all the way for me..no baleno/liana/city 2003- (which is crappy..better interior n seats but an extremely docile engine..hopin much better stuff from them with the new shape) beats this car..ya the shape is old but still the engine is a masterpiece considerin its jus a 1.3l efi.
    regards
