    Default Honda City avec a turbo charger?

    aloha peeps,

    ok! i was thinking of throwing a turbo charger in my 2005 honda city, which sounds stupid already cuz the breaks on that car suck a d**K! but hey being a speed freak cant be that bad can it?
    i mean 0-100 in friggen 17 seconds? thats a joke!!
    and please dont ask why i bought a city cuz i dint! it was a present from my dad so cant do much about that.
    ayte, your valuable insight is awaited so spill the beans y'all

    to floor or not to floor, that is the question!

    wont enjoy a turbo on a non turbo type engine,, rather you buy a turbo charged engine stock if yr very serious ,, but better to lower the car and get something like civic brakes if they fit., just aiming for speed without an brake horse power will give you very bad overall result.

    @levin
    The problem is there are no turbo honda engines, so he has to work from scratch.

    @Shagster
    First of is it a vario or exi-s? I am not sure what you can do with your DSi engine, you might also want to think about a enigine swap, worst case. That is if you are real serious about turboing your city.

    @racefF1,
    bro the guys who added turbo on stock engine honda's and did not upgrade the clutch plates, have to replace clutch plates after every few races.
    What will hapeen for example if i add a turbo to my auto 98 VTI ?(without changing the transmission)

    @hash4u
    Well clutch will always give up if you keep it stock. if you go turbo you might want to change the clutch too. I am surprised that they even raced with stock clutches, they were not geting the right power to the ground. B/w the engine and the tyres the clutch plays a very important part. if you do not have the right one, you do not have the right power.

    As for your VTi it would last you sometime before you end up changing it that is if you keep the boost b/w 6-7psi that should give you some relaibility. But remember boost is placing extra stress on your cars internal and drive trains and they will give in at some point.

    Actually i think,few guys run out of funds after installing the Turbo's.My friend was telling me the proper clutch kit costs Rup 50,000. So what he used to do was, use the same pressure plate,just get the leather changed of the clutch plate.But changing the clutch means half engine down!!! and is pain in the .... if has to be done on regular basis !!!

    hmmp interesting....ok clutch shouldnt be a problem, i mean i could change it and i dont care if the engine gives in down the lane or blows up ( that really doesnt matter) besides i am not a big fan of 1300 cc neways...back in the days i used to haul a 2.8 @ 200Bhp but alas things dont tend to stay the same....i was snooping around the net the other day and stumbled across this "turbonator" thingy....i think that could be a cheap alternative to a turbo since it gives about a 2Psi boost which cant be that harsh on the poor "dsi". i am thinking of building that turbonator myself since its not much of a tech job.

    any thoughts you guys?

    oh and how do i drop my car? there is this local method...something to do with the heat treatment of the stock spring...i am not really gonna go for it but suggestions are always welcomed

    Sell your city, buy old shape honda,
    96-2000,try as many modifications as you want with the B16 Vtec : )
    city has a 10 inch bonnet and 1.3 engine. not worth the effort i guess

    Yes go for that device and all you will be doing is restricting your intake. You guys really fall for those As Seen On TV ad don't you. Guess what they love people like you who are gullible. Just think about it if it was that good why would I not put a $70 device instead of spend thousands. These things are not worth it. Try it for yourself. Since you do a lot of surfing why not find out about it from some experts.

    2.8 @200bhp what car was that?

    So what happened in the end? Did you get the city turbo charged? I was hoping for some increase in acceleration. My kit looks nice and all but theres no point really if you cant beat a common car and just look pretty.
