    Default civic windshield stars

    guys i have problem with windsheild, the light make stars on windshield when reflect on it.


    any idae how to fix or should i replace with new one & how much it will cost any idae?have civic 95.

    I also Have this problem in my mehrans Windscreen. Any Expert Please put some light on it!!!

    stars are caused by scratched glass. this happens (usually) by abbrasion form sand, dirt, hard wipers etc.

    always use water to clean the screen and not a dry cloth, and ALWAYS use original wipers and not those cheap (in quality, not price) alternatives you find in the open market

    Not a problem

    park you car in shade.

    1 - dust away windscreen,

    2 - wash the windscreen with hair shampoo (any) let the screen dry.

    3 - take few potatoes, peel them off slice half and slowly rub on the screen it will create some juicy spongy foam on the screen let it dry.

    4 - wash again slowly with damp cloth.

    if scratches are not deep you will feel the difference.
    - saw this at Patel para, tested it on my EE90 it worked.

    guys thanx alot for your sharing info.

    @suzukialtomehran your lucky man getting in 2500Rs. They gave me price original for 10K and with some good quality 6K with installation.

    @capsat i will try your method hope it will save my money.

    I Had to replace my City's windshield due to scratches...I guess your car is now very old..you must replace the windshield..but try @capsats tip too..

    no better result found.

    I have changed the windscreen. cost orignal with installation 6k.
