Default Honda Civic Vti Prosmaetec Pickup problem

I have Honda civic Vti Prosmaetec 2005, 75KM done. I am facing a problem over two months that I feel a significant power lose in low speeds, like you are in 2supnd/sup gear and you press the accelerator but it reacts very slowly.

I haven’t done any tuning except spark plugs change.

Can any expert tell me what type of tuning required if any or if some one experiences the same problem then what is the remedy?

Any one tells me if there is some other place for tuning other then Honda? Who has some experience and equipment etc?

its 100% Pertol, Air and Fuel fillter are new and replaced every time

    Moving to CNG/Mechanical/Technical/Performance - MOD

I'd rather clean my Spark-plugs or change them if required!! Followed by a complete service!!

^ prosmatic mein there are 7 clutch plates. the whole job of changing them will cost u 25k if done from honda ppl. but u dont need to change them at all. I am also getting the same problem. but the change in acceleration isnt much. I got spark plugs replaced. airfilter. fuel filter. throttle body cleaning. and tapet adjustment. all from honda workshop. my car has done 100k km. 02 civic vti or pros. cng installed after 85k, one year ago. in auto cars there is little or no knocking cuz gears are changed at the right torque. so the engines hav longer life as compared to manual tranny ones. so wats the reason for this reduced performance?

get the sensors at the air inlet and exhaust cleaned. get someone to specially do it.

get the catalytic converter removed. but civics cat converters hav large mesh size and do not usually get clogged. but still try it if nothing else helps.

    Dear All,

Thank you for you responses, but sorry to say I tried to use this form to get a solution or at least some one have the same experience he can help.

Almost I got replies which are totally different then the problem. Nobody bothers to even read the question – the question was totally of power loss with the reference of 2nd gear in automatic car. But majority of people replied with transmitting problems which was not the case. So many offered me to change the clutch plate or plates.

Majority of people dnoth know the torque converter in automatic and prosmatic transmission – I will advice them to visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torque_converter so they can understand engines and transmissions of each model built by Honda.

I will really advise you all if you don’t have exact knowledge then don’t miss guide others.

I got the problem solved by tuning the ECU, a minor change in timings – no plug change no air, oil or fuel filter change.

Sorry for people who don’t have knowledge but they still participate in it – I will advise not to join any medicine forums – you might kill some one

Please mention the detail of ECU Tuning? is this just adjustment of timing? I have same car and facing same issue, pickup on CNG is even better then petrol. I think this is only due to timming because on CNG Advancer comes in to adjust the timming. I am currently in ISD if you can suggest same Mechanic, that will be a great help

i think they hooked up the obd and must have adjusted the air/fuel ratio

pick must have been improved by "advancing" the timing
