    Default Water body issue with my civic

    well my car began to get heated up , somne days back so i thoght that the problem was with the radiataor changed the radiator with a double nali , desi radiator. the heationg problem was solved bit the car will not satart after driving more than half an hour like its heated up the needle goes little bit above half


    can the water body be faulty , can it be serviced or will i have to get it serviced. any idea about teh price any suggestions civic 97 vti is the car
    Past cant be brought back ..but future can be made even better than the Past..if one wants to.. ....

    the gasket seems fine as no whaite smoke or too much reduction of coolant
    Past cant be brought back ..but future can be made even better than the Past..if one wants to.. ....

    check the water body urgent man,otherwise ur engine will get ruin within no time.........





    if the water body is ok then sadly u have to go for head facing..

    i have a same problem with my civic 99 VTI Oriel, it gets over heated and water gets dry, i replaced the rediator with single nali to double nali but the problem remains same, then i go for head facing and changed the gasket, but the problem is stil there, the needle goes high and water gets dry mostly in continuous long run of 15 to 20 KM, can anybody suggest me what to do??....i am much worried regarding this issue.

    g bhai jaan rediator is original, and there is no any visible water leakage from pipes or rediator.

    well my rediator is ok tooo, the problems seems that the water body is choked .
    my cars heater doesnt work either no heating at all can be this a problem of bad circulation of water in the cooloing system.

    can teh water body be serviced or i will have to buy a new one

    water body is the problem ...more over u need to install a strong earth (with battery)to rectify starting problem it will help ...also check ur fan ...may be a relay with the fan would help as it will boost the speed...how much is the engine driven ....well meri mano tau ...buy a new engine assembly it will cost u 25 thousand ...aur sab masla khattam ho jaayega

    replace waterbody I just did! It costed 5k. Also check thremostat valve if heater is not working prolly it is missing! check fan motor.

    2nd check the fan speed of radiator coz may be fan motor not spinnig fan at required speed.

    the fan is all rite , there are signs of little but rust and burning around the water body

    @waqashussin,check the condition of thermostat valve.it is most often found under the housing.some newer modles locate thermostats in a housing sealed by a cover that looks just like a radiator cap.TO test the thermostat,hang a thermometer in a pan of water and place it on the stove.Suspend the thermostat in the water,now heat the water,noting the temperature at which thermostat valve begins to open.If the thermostate does not open at the temperature stamped on its body,it is defective and must be replaced.


    Check the condition of water hoses,look for cracking,swelling and oil or grease damage to hoses.Pay particular attention to the area just behind the clamp,some times the clamp will dig its way into hose pipe causing for leakage.


    Check the belt tension by applying a little push with ur thumb in the centre of the belt,if u can deflect it more than 15 to 20 mm,it means belt is too loose and u would need to tighten it.Also keep in mind that the belt should not be over tightened this would cause a bearing failure and resultant damage to the driven part.
