Default ATTN: Karachi Civic Reborn Owners

Guys & Gals (if there are any female members)

With today's rain, there are going to be places where there's water standing. This water if deeper than your number plate can cause serious damage to the vehicle.

The problem being the Air Intake is pretty low on these cars, going under the battery and into the wheel well somewhere close to, or below the head light.

July's rain landed about 60 odd Civics at 3s dealers for serious repairs.

Wait it out & drive carefully.

is that ur car? because that might not be a civic 1.8 or might be an after market intake or maybe just a different region/spec'ed/model civic 1.8, my 2006 one has the intake at the same level as battery top. i have attached two pics for reference.

Follow the pipe marked in green. It will take you to the inlet. The area you have marked is not the air intake.

Stop scarying ppl arround!! THe hose you've mentioned with green arrow goes under the battery and comes up on the right side of battery ... the real opening is that mentioned by Redbull_ar

If you dont believe it.. start your car, open the hood, put hand over the "RED" mentioned opening, and ask some one to press the throttle, Every tihng will be clear!!!
