exi is "common" but hopefully a discontinued product in near future and 1.5 city will be rare I guess.
if you want something falshy/jazzy then go for 1.5 city

if you need a more traditional family sedan then exi is a good choice. in either ways it increases Honda Atlas revenue!!

I hope the disk brakes or temperature guage or slightly more torgue for fast pickup and likewise will not be your preferred comparison items.

As far size of city and civic is concerned the overall difference is as follows

City is 3.5 inch shorter in length
City is 1.2 inch shorter in width
    City is 1.1 inch taller

This is difference in averall dimensions. I think as far cabin space is concerned it will be a smaller difference.

Engines are both 1.5 l but that of city is VTEC 16 valve but that if civic is not VTEC.

City is CVT with steermatic option and that is not too easy too use. It is exactly not manual but it allows you to control 7 CVT combinations manually.

Moreover City is wothout CD player, whereas civic is with CD player and changer.

Civic is 4 disk but city is not. Both have brakes w/o ABS.

Civic has rear falt floor but city does not have.

City is new Civic is old shape.

My vote goes to CITY 1.5 VTEC

    Dear salmanz1990

Let me correct you, the engine in the City 1.5 is not the same as in the Civic 1.5. The Civic engine is standard and the engine in the City is Vtec. The Civc engine and the City engine produce the same hp at the same rpm that is 110hp/5800rpm but the difference is in the torque 135N.M/4500rpm for the civic vs. 143N.M/4800rpm for the City.

This means better pulling power at a broader range.

Secondly the City's transmission is not standard automatic, it is CVT. I am assuming that you know what CVT is, the manual gear selection option is bacically a system by which the transmission computer puts the linear gearbox into preprogrammed gear ratio mode and you can select between the "virtual" gears.

The City is new and it is cool, the Civic is old and due for replacement, yet it is larger and more comfortable. The City is lighter and more powerful, the Civic is heavier and more spacious.

It is up to you to decide that what fits your lifestyle

    Are you married?
    Do you have children?
    How old are they?
How much room do you really need in the car?
Is sportiness more important or does size matter?
Where will you mostly drive your car , in the city or outside the city?

These are just some of the factors you need to take into consideration.
    Hope I was helpful.

    regards

    hello!
i prefer 1.5L City is better choice....Exi is not equipped with anything like VTEC..which new City have got 1.5L Vtec engine....so its pretty good also...+ 7 Speed MOde Steermatic is a new thing to be lauched 1st time in pakistani market..so i think City 1.5L you should buy...Exi is not what i thought is a good buy

ok that'll be your choice, just go for it but i think exi is better choice...
you said exi manual is cheaper than new city you forgot to add the value for tyres and rims which would cost you around the same amount as the new city (which includes bridgestone tyres and alloy rims)...
wise decision would be to go for civic exi prosmatic which inclusing everything will fall in the range 1150,000/- including CNG ets...

salman, assuming you're buying the city for "modifying" purposes you'll be making a big mistake by buying that. there are little or no mods available for the city besides body kit or adding air intake plugs etc. whereas the civic can really be played around with. projection lights, High/low hids you name it. i bought my mom a civic, and currently own a city too, lets just say i have decided to swap cars with her !, heheeh ..the exi M/T is just too fast man, atleast for me when moving on from a city hehehe

Hi guys.! [ i'm new to pakwheels, tho ive been here at least 250 times! ]

umm... i think the city 1.5 is a better deal than 1.5 exi civic. tho civic may look a little better, but the new city has the 7 speed steermatic and youll probably be one of the first to get the '06 city 1.5.
I dont know, but if the city comes with 15" alloys, that'll definately be a another positive point about the city. , as the civic EXi comes with 14" wheels.
If i were you, i would definately take the city 1.5 vtec.
btw, does that steermatic allow you to go on Automatic or Manual on your desire,?

    Thanks, Riz
