    Default Honda Civic Heatup Prob :(

    Salam guyz...




    I hve civic 99.. wid 1.6vtec engine...




    my car is giving a prob of heating up while climbing a mountain...




    like KALAR KAHAR or MURREE (Expressway)...




    i hve cleaned radiator.. changed coolant..




    although changed gaskit by honda pit shop but da same prob :@ ...




    da car runs fine on motorway @ every speed even 180km/h....




    it only heatup while climbing on...




    sumtimes radiator gets empty... n sumtimes it gets pressurized...




    da HONDA mechanics also put da RADIATOR FAN on DIRECT MODE :@ which i hate da most....




    but da prob is still der i dont knw wht 2 do... plzz help.. thnx in advance...

    i have the same car as urs and have been a victim to.
    ended up spending 50,000 remaking the whole engine .

    anyways i think gunship pilots reply is the best. D16 is a open block engine.if the car overheats, u have to get the block faced as well not only the head.

    if the car is building pressure, i am sorry mate.take out the whole engine, n get the block faced!
    (i learnt this the hard way)

    It is very easy to ckeck the exhust restriction,put ur hand at the end of exhust tail pipe and ask some one to race the engine fully,by feeling of exhust pressure on ur hand u can determine the exhust condition.U can also check it to any silencer walla or good mechanic.

    CHANG THE RADIATOR FAN ..

    just changed it with new one ...

    FAN FAULT ..
    or kuch nahin ..

    HONDA main fan ko air suck karni parti hai .. is liay
    Barring wali motor lagwao ..
    then u all see the diferance ..
