Am facing the following problems with my 99-00 Civic Vti Automatic:
1. Sound from rear left side (GRRRUNG/ more than a squeek), after going over a speed breaker or bump
2. When automatic transmission is put in reverse there is a slight clunking sound. When put in Drive and accelerator is pressed a little hard the engine seems to choke or something as RPMs seems to get stuck around 2000-3000 and dont increase even if pedal is pressed down hard. It is only when i left my foot of the pedal and accelerate gently and get over 2000rpms can i press down hard on the accelerator.
3. Have had front Rackend/CV boots changed recently as there was some "play" in the wheels according to the mechanic and sounds from front end as well going over bumps etc, However with the new ones they feel "light" and going over bumps make quite some noise!
4. Also am thinking of changing tires as current ones are over 9 year old yokohamas and the tire shop guy said that they are in danger of bursting and to avoid motorway and get them change ASAP. Any recommendations? He told me to get 185/ 70 R14 Yokohamas (Japan) for 4500/ tire!
Any input would really be much beneficial!
NOTE: Have had a CNG cylinder installed since 3 years which adds 60-70KG continuously on the Suspension... dont know what effect that would have on it!
