    rolla is bigger, better suspension compared to a 4 year old car, better millage, better resale, better shape , better power steering

    Where as civic 05 has better engine power and thts all wat i can thnk off.

    Plus rolla is very high priced. U can get allion , cl7, 07civic. So check properly before u buy it

    Corolla :
    Pros : resale , softer suspension , better power steering , cheaper maintenance , higher ground clearance.
    Cons : brakes are just fine , heavy body , pick sucks , feels underpowered , mileage.
    Civic :
    Pros : better handling , better pick , gives relatively better mileage , better brakes , more suited to city and highway driving , value for money.
    Cons : high maintenance , 4 years old , stiff suspension.

    You'll get pretty much similar gas mileage with either of these. You can get a VTi Oriel and have a car with a 1.6L VTEC engine, moonroof, retracting mirrors, alloy wheels, CD changer and all that for less than what the GLi will cost you.

    @enerlevel

    I'd love to get a CL7 for the price of a GLi. No beat crashed destroyed abused car please.
    My engine history; CB70 -> 4EFTE -> D15B VTEC -> D16Y6 VTEC -> 1JZ-GTE

    i dont seriously understand how can u compare a 1.5 vti with the fuel average of a 1.3 .........

    i have already kept 4 honda vti !!!

    17" rims , lowered , auto vti 04 with ac gives about 45-50km on 500 bucks. where as my xli gives about 70-75km and city used to give about 75-80km

    also do youself a favour , get a 1.3 gli and drive it on petrol rather then getting a 1.6 and putting cng and talking about powerfull engine!!!

    yes if the choice was between 05 civic and the older corolla, i would say civic for sure but the new shape corolla is totally out of question

    Im amazed that even then u don't know that VTi is NOT 1.5

    VTi give good mileage due to no VTec induction most of time during intercity driving. My civic gives easily 180km in 1000 Rs. petrol, makes 90km for 500Rs. It's prosmatec as well.

    Atlast i must say, it not what u drive, its how u drive

    Still if you take my humble opinion, and as enerlevel said, comparing 05 civic with 09 corolla is not justified in may terms. Even if u compare 05 civic 09 mehran, even that's not justified. Cuz these are different category cars. Comparison should be made model to model, engine to engine, class to class

    dude get real. no one will be impressed by ur false millage. u claim ur car give 80km on rs.500. so tht is 8.1 litre and u drive 80km... so thts an average of 11.1km/L . so basically wat u r trying to tell me is tht ur prosmatic 1.5vtec gives u 11.1km/L because of the " no VTec induction most of time during intercity driving"

    panic slayer is 100 % right i agree with him. my exi 05 is giving around 225 km for 1000 bucks a superb mileage and performance. u cant compare it with gli as both of the rides belong to different classes and civic is a better status symbol then a gli while i would rate civics shape above rolla as wel. if u want economy luxury and a magnificent drive go for a civic.

    cant compare them ..if i say gli is batter then ..u have to pay extra money in compare to 05 civic model price

    1.3 milage is batter on petrol and cng then civic engines for sure

    @panic..yr average is like 11km/L

    on 1.3 gli old engine it never gave me less then 12km/L to 13km/L with AC and all revs we do daily....

    civic has different drive in compare to corolla.....its all what you like

    hahahahaaa, do u even know what vtec induction is! what panicslayer said was that in city driving, u hardly cross 5500 rpm at which vtec engages! so u drive on 8 valves which provides better fuel economy! maybe u have a heavy foot, thats why u got bad mileage! n yes that figure that panic presented is possible! no doubts about that.
