    ^manual or auto.
    auto gives around 9 km per litre in city. whereas older auto model gives 10.2-10.5.

    @enerlevel
    i just completed the first 900kms on my new civic 1.8 manual
    im getting approx 10km/l in the city with the A/C running at 100% of the time.
    i can probably improve the fuel economy b/c so far i've ONLY driven it in ALOT of traffic and rush hour time so my car and A/C runs while the car isnt actually moving. This reduces the fuel economy GREATLY.

    However, with "normal" city driving and with A/C on at 100% of the time, a manual 1.8 civic should do 11km/l to 11.5 km/l
    i haven't driven it on highways yet so i cant comment on that yet...sorry.

    ok this is how i am calculating the average.

    suppose i put rs.500 gas there fore 500/62(petrol rate)=8.0 litres

    and suppose the car does 90km before the petrol finishes , then 90/8=11.25

    now i doubt a 1.8 can do 90km on rs500. so guys plz recheck the formula and then report back plz.....

    and plz mention auto or manual... also andrim size thanks to all

    no need to worry..im sure most of us (including me) use the same method of calculating fuel economy.
    btw...your calculations are correct... ie: your civic will do 11.25km/l under the conditions you mentioned.
    my car does 10km/l so far (unfortunately)..and it is completely stock with euro star tyres on factory rims

    my 07 civic with 205/60/16 tyres gives abt 7.5-8 km in karachi with AC on at al times and on the way to hyderabad it gives an everage of 14km/ltr, this is calculated average so no false information by me. if ur planig to install cng in it then plz i beg u don't do this to the car plz i beg u ur car's suspension will get messed up very quickly as the new civic's susp. is relatively hard then the older one.

    yes 7-8km is very much understandable. so if a 1.6vti does 7-8 how can the 1.8vti do 10-11km.....

    my new xli does about 10.5 on an average with 17" rims.but i have heard alot of ppl saying tht the 1.8vti does eat alot of fuel.the only problem between me and this car is millage. i do about daily 90km.
