    @enerlevel,
    yaar do not expect civic to be giving 10km/ltr in city, i think atmost civic manual will give u arnd 9-9.5km/ltr thats it. on highways it can give upto 15km/ltr too im sure abt it if the car is driven smoothly meaning not very quick pics up after every slowing down bcoz of trucks on super highway u know how the traffic usually is on karachi- hyderabad highway. i got 14.2km/ltr from my prosmatec, the car was loaded and the tyres pressure was 26 in fronts and 28 in rears and plus me and my bro do accelerate the car very quickly untill we reach he speed limit of 110km/hr so now can get a clear idea what im talking abt. but trust me the I-VTEC engines are very very economical they at times give even better mileage than the 04 civic engines. so my suggestion to u is do not go for cng as it will ruin the car completely and then ur car will have no charm in it when u gonna sell in the future, thats my view of it some ppl might disagree with me.

    its all if u keep ur civic maintained at all times, if u leave it in poor condition engine wise meaning not getting the air filter cleaned, do not get the oil change and avoid timely car services then the car's performance do get effected, u won't feel it but it does happens.

    @309
    Agreed Mate...
    CNGing the 8th GEn civic is a big no no..
    And abt Fuel economy .u r right i drove on motorway at
    average speed of 145 ..Got a 14.4 km/litre
    So really depends on ur periodic mantanence and driving habits

    @owais,
    bro is ur civic manual or auto? hey u wont believe this but i used to get the same average from my cl9 accord within city limits, if u drive the accord very smoothly with proper gear shifts and not flooring it then it used to give us arnd 7.5km/ltr with AC on at all times, im not lying me and my elder brother calculated it many times and got arnd 7.5. isn't that amazing.

    @309
    Its manual mate !
    But its 15000km service is undone yet !
    So mileage will hopefully increase after service
    That is pretty sweet man..
    CL9 : 7.5 km/litre...That is really amazing frm a 2.4 litre in city with AC !

    i dont really know about highway average since i never used my car for tht purpose. and my driving consist of ac , sometimes high acc , sometimes low its more like a mixture of everything. i remember my auto 1.6vti 04 with 17"rims gave me about 6.7-7km/L so thts y i am kind of afraid of buying this 1.8 vti LOL because if tht car gives me 5-6km/L i will soon have to drive in taxi and keep tht car at home

    @enerlevel,
    no no iu do not have to be so much worried abt new civic's average, obviously the older shape is now 4 yrs old so the engine performance also gets low. the new one will give for sure arnd 7.5 km/ltr within city and abt 15 km/ltr on highways .btw what are ur plans , u planig to buy auto or manual? well i wud recommend u auto as the gear shifts of the new civic is very smooth u won't feel any kind of jhatka trust me plus its a very usefull feature for kind of traffic we have in karachi.

    @all,

    hey guyz yesturday i went to hyderabad in my civic 04. i filled the tank up from the PSO pump at hino pak chowrangi where there is honda showroom too. i had filled the tank up with 1100 rs of hi octane and rest with with super supreme then went to gulshan to pic up my mamo from there and then we headed for highway. there were four adults in the car including me but others were quite heavy weight then me so the car i wud say was loaded. the point is from the pump to gulshan and then to hyderabad and then from hyderabad to clifton karachi i had driven 358 kms which include abt 40 of city driving and rest higway and still the tank is filled with 1/4 of its capacity tha tmeans abt 12-13 ltrs more are left in it. well let say the if i get the car refuelled again so abt 32-34 ltrs of petrol will go in till the tank gets full. so the average comes out to be 12km/ltr. this is a rough estimate i will post the exact one when i get it refuelled. my civic 04 is prosmatec and the AC was on thru out the journey and there were times when the car was standing still and we were sitting in it with ac for abt 20 mins so that in my view does also contributed neagatively to theaverage of the car as the car is on but not moving so i think the rough estimate is abt 12-13km/ltr. i was driving at 110 on highway but i used to floor the accelerator whenever the truck used to get out of my car, so that flooring also does contribute nagetively to the average. im posting the pics for u all to see and judge abt the average of it. but will surely post the exact average after i get it refuell.
