I think this car runs only on CNG with no petrol backup. Might be a bit risky is you run out of gas on the motorway or somewhere else. Plus you can't drive where there is no gas(Northern Areas) or rural Pakistan as you don't have petrol as a backup. Hope they give the bi-fuel version to Pakistan if they can.

people trust me... had my Sept 2003 Civic Vti Prosmatec (done 45,000 km) converted two months back from Jail Road Lahore -

banged the sh*t outta ma car while installing the cylinder

ruined the foam and carpet insert

the switch is smaller in size than the size and looks weird and the guy scratched the borders while fitting it

koi pick nahin rehta purana wala, sab gimmicks hain, koi gari kabhi wasay nahin bhaag sakti pehlay jaisay EVEN ON PETROL coz about 3/4 of the air cleaner has been closed.

engine's lost it's Honda grace, the sealed engine as we called it.

    GREAT CAR, RAPED IT!

but as the fuel bills were raping me, had to give in. but like new buyers shouldn't go for it.

have a factory fitted 2005 Coure, personally I can't feel the difference from Petrol to CNG.

AUR SIR AGAR KISI KE PASS KOI HAL HO, I have to get my damn Air Cleaner cleaned every 2-3 days!! or the RPM drop and the engine stops, had it checked out, it's normal

1.2 million ki gari rakh kerr roz air cleaner saaf kerao!

Its strange if you have to clean the air filter every 2 to 3 days, now , what i think the problem is kay you have got the air intake taped with electric tape, right ?
You should get the air blocked by a Air Blocker, costs 200 rupees only and whenever cars race go down or up just make adjustment of the screw in air blocker thats it !

This car is currently only sold in California and has an engine optimized for CNG only use with a 12.5:1 compression ratio.

It would be great for Pakistan, but has many unique features that would be very difficult to build on the Pakistani Honda Atlas Autos assembly line.

By the way, can anybody guess where the CNG tank is?

i think the tank is in place of PEtrol tank and suspension has been modified as well to accomodate 3 CNG cylinders.

why would honda launch the stock cng civic to pakistan when there is such a large black cng market already in place? cng setups from the factory are not cheap....these cars will be expensive than the regular petrol ones for obvious reasons.

i doubt this will ever happen...as long as the black cng market exists. i call it black market cuz its unregulated in terms of price, safety and overall management.
I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it..and so restriction of free thought and free speech is the most dangerous of all subversions.

I'd without a second thought go for a ff cng rather than a "black market kit" dictated by my experience with both. And people do understand technology, Liana's ff cng has been met with gr8 response. I think all manufacturers should be offering ff cng even if it is a conventional kit coz that way the fitting is very neat and clean.

most importantly, the civic GV has the right compression ratio. no other ff cng car has a special combustion chamber for its cng version..i think the civic GX 2004 had a compression ratio of 13.2:1 maybe they changed it to 12.5 as engines with higher compression ratios are expensive[like VTi (10.1)and Exi (8.8)]..other than that, all EFI cars work well on cng if emulater, advancer and Lambda control unit are installed. apart from performance, the new shape civic has its full boot/trunk space

NGV civic?? man i think not a good idea...n secondly it has a very small luggage space...the car which @spectra has mentioned would be a better choice...if they can do the same here in pakistan also..well n good!
