    Help on Civic96 not starting on petrol
    <HR style="COLOR: #c7e2f0; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #c7e2f0" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->Hi Experts,

    Civic96 exi manual is not starting on petrol. Problem is it starts on cng and then can be converted to petrol. If it is driven for long on petrol it stops suddenly sometimes and then wont start on petrol unless is again started on CNG and converted to petrol.

    On investigation it was revealed that fuel pump is pushing fuel with full pressure but the injectors are not spraying fuel. This vehicle was checked by 5 mechanics and EFI electricians. Complete wiring was varified but still unresolved. These peoples finally concluded that the ecu is faulty, although ECU is looking very shining neat and clean and dont have any burning mark or any water marks or anything that can have doubt about its functionality.

    Honestly speaking i dont have trust on all these mechanics and electricians. They all are working on hit and trial.

    Any one can please guide me. What could be the problem or any best person to see for this issue.

    Thanks to all of you for ur expert openion and advice as always.

    Regards,

    Check your injectors. Get your injectors serviced this might improve. You might need to replace your injectors

    did the mechanics check with noid light that your injector is actually getting a negative pulse and of course positive voltage supply - if thats happening you need to check your fuel pressure in the fuel rail before the fuel pressure regulator - you should be seeing a solid 45 psi.

    You maybe experiencing a bad main relay - it switches the ECU and Fuel pump on - they are known to go bad after 10 years or so, its located beside your glove box in the dash, big gray box with mitsuba main relay written on it with a regular 8 pin connector out of which 7 are used.

    Check what I advised first - positive to the injectors then a negative test with a noid light and NOT a test lamp
