    Default Honda civic Swap Experts suggestions needed!

    AoA! I need expert advice on which engine to get for my civic 95, keeping hp in mind. My budget is 70k(plus whatever my stock carbeurator engine gains me). Which engine should i go for which gives me the highest hp.
    kindly help me out with this:
    If i go for d15b 3 stage v-tec (125-130 hp) How can i improve the hp to around 160.
    I want a b16A2 dohc vtec but someone told me i won't be able to get it in that 70k range. Any suggestions?
    P.S. i can access isb, pindi, peshawar areas only for the swap....not khi lhr etc.
    Thnks in advance.

    @cloud100: every info u post makes it easier for me to go with 3 stage. Thnks for all the detailed info bro. Will get this done in a weeks time IA, and then post the pics.
    The next stage now is to decide whether to sell this stock d15 carb engine or not, cuz it's in a v.good condition and i recently won frm a d16 with it, dn't know anythng about d16's tho.
    And i already have headers downpiping and exhaugst setup installed, will make the other mods when swapping the engine.
    Thnks again

    bro keep the carby 4 if u wana sell it u can swap ur d15b stage3 vtec to ur 2000-05 civic as well however if u dont plan to sell this beauty for long then u could sell it either save the money or spend it on other mods like custom paint nd stuff etc,etc

    stage-3 Vtec is very rear to find so better not to waste time.
    I would suggest simple D15b Vtec or if your pocket allows you go for B16a

    1st Choice: B16a, go for fresh import stuff, locally used can create trouble as most of them are ruined

    2nd Choice: D15b Dual Vtec

    3rd Choice: D15b Single Vtec

    You'll easily find a good d15b - single vtec in rwp/isb.

    @cloud100: i'm looking for a one-time engine swap.
    @spano:
    That's what the guy at max torque told me, that d15b vtec is better for racing than a 3 stage one, 3 stage gives u the economy option as well that's the only upside to it.
    But i really am confused now, cuz i'm looking for upgrade not looking at the economy, but performance. Can u confirm that simple d15 vtec is better?

    P.s. if i do get a b16a, should it be A1 or A2, cuz i heard it'd cost me 1 lac(the whole swap n wiring etc) and as i mentioned i have 70k budget....i'll sell my engine and get the remaing amount if it's assured that other hidden costs won't show up.

    A proper boosted D will give any b16 / h22 a run for its money . My advice , pick up a d15b single vtec, enjoy it for a few months in n/a form , start collecting money for a turbo kit ! then do a turbo project

    A stock D can withstand 8-12 psi of boost, which roughly calculates to around 200-220 hp ! , ofcourse depending upon the tune !!

    @lowresolution: Bro is turbo-ing a vtec engine worth the money? If yes, then suggest me a good turbo kit to go with d15b.

    swaping an engine ? in a 15 year old car - to run on CNG ??
    what is status of body, suspension, interior Plus a big question What you desire to achieve, ??

    Wasting 70K on 15 year old CAR and that too a HONDA is not a wise choice.

    Civic 95 is the only car i'd spend money on, and i have spent alot on it n proud of it. And there is no cng kit installed, it's petrol only.
    All the exterior and interior work has already been done(will post the pic), a vtec is what's missing.
    P.S. Not interested in too much hp, anything around 150 HP is ok with me for now.

    Cat-back

    Cat-back (also cat back and catback) refers to the portion of the exhaust system from the outlet of the catalytic converterto the final vent to open air. This generally includes the pipe from the converter to the muffler, the muffler, and the final length of pipe to open air.
    Cat-back exhaust systems are a very popular aftermarket performance enhancement. They generally use larger diameter pipe than the stock system. Good systems will have mandrel(smooth)-bent turns that allow the exhaust gas to exit with as little back preasure as possible. The mufflers included in these kits are often reduce back pressure. If the system is engineered more for show than functionality, it may be tuned to enhance the lower sounds that are lacking from high-RPM low RPM
